Not everyone deserves a second chance, but most of the characters on "American Horror Story" didn't belong in the Briarcliff Manor asylum in the first place. For those who survived the torturous evil of Dr. Arden, demon Mary Eunice and Dr. Oliver Thredson, this week's episode was about redemption and starting life anew. That is, except for Pepper. The little bald mutant gets sentenced to steaming bath therapy in what might be her last appearance. And Sister Jude, who will have plenty of time to diddle herself with cucumbers now that all her friends are gone.

Evil has many faces. This episode proved evil comes in many sizes, too. A young girl is dropped off at Briarcliff by her mother, who believes her daughter Jenny stabbed her child playmate, Josey. Jenny told police that a tall, bearded man with a brown coat was the murderer. Maybe if Kit blamed Alma's death on Jesse James or Santa Claus instead of aliens, he'd be free too. Sister Jude doesn't know what to do with the mini homicidal sociopath so she entrusts Jenny to the perfect babysitter -- Satan Mary Eunice.

It was a busy night for the Angel of Death on the latest episode of "American Horror Story. "  The last time we saw the merciful Angel, she was coming to Monsignor Timothy Howard's rescue after he was nailed to a cross. But she didn't come to relieve the monsignor of his life. “You have more work to do,” she tells him. “The devil is at Briarcliff and the nun has to cast her out.” Instead the monsignor casts the devil out himself by throwing the demonized Mary Eunice three floors to her death.

In a time where every artist utilizes multiple social-media outlets to make a name, it can be difficult to separate the aesthetic and the art. In the case of singer Lana Del Rey, the 25-year-old New York City singer born Lizzy Grant, she offers a couple headscratchers: a self-proclaimed groaner of a title ("gangster Nancy Sinatra") and strange genre-definers (her Facebook says her music is "Hollywood Pop and Sad Core"). On most days, this would have me running for the hills, yet here I am, listening to "Video Games" repeatedly.
