ALL TIED UP Baltimore Colts Hall of Famer Lenny Moore held on to a share of his NFL record for consecutive games scoring a touchdown when San Diego's LaDainian Tomlinson didn't get into Philadelphia's end zone. Moore set the record between 1963 and 1965 with 18 consecutive games. ALL TIED UP, PART II Bengals QB Carson Palmer failed to break a tie with Peyton Manning for the NFL record for most consecutive games (nine) with a 100 passer rating or better when he skidded to 53.8 in a loss to the Steelers.

Ogden doesn't appear to be in game shape yet this season, but he still can outplay most opponents. Ogden has long arms and strong hands that allow him to keep pass rushers away from his body. Merriman is tied for sixth in the AFC with 5 1/2 sacks. He has great speed to the outside but enough strength and size to overpower most pass blockers.

The quarter ended with the Chargers threatening with a first down at the Ravens' 16-yard line. Scoring NONE 2 -- CHARGERS 22, RAVENS 7 Ravens score, Chargers roar The Ravens took a 7-3 lead, but the Chargers scored 19 unanswered points, helped by Matt Stover's botched kickoff and fumbles by Kyle Boller and Mike Anderson.

During CBS' AFC championship game halftime show Sunday, former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher blurted something that just was astounding. Cowher - who has earned his stripes as a Super Bowl-winning coach - suggested that the San Diego Chargers pull quarterback Philip Rivers because he was less than 100 percent physically and play Billy Volek in the second half. To paraphrase Cowher: You're 30 minutes from the Super Bowl and you pull out all the stops. What?

Browns coach Eric Mangini was encouraged by two days of meetings with Ravens pro personnel director George Kokinis and indicated his longtime friend will soon be Cleveland's new general manager. Kokinis spoke with team owner Randy Lerner yesterday and could be days away from joining the club. It is not known whether Lerner offered Kokinis a contract. Patriots: : Quarterback Tom Brady said his rehabilitation from season-ending knee surgery was "going really well," but he did not offer any timetable for a return to the football field.
