Bayhawks today Matchup -- Bayhawks (1-2) at New Jersey Pride (2-1) Site -- Yurcak Field, Piscataway, N.J. Time -- 4 p.m. Outlook -- Although both teams come off losses last weekend, the Pride - a 16-15 loser to the Philadel phia Barrage - seems to have an edge, as it has won both of its previ ous home games. Baltimore is look ing for its first road victory, after a 24-14 loss to the Denver Outlaws, dur ing which the Bayhawks couldn't re cover from an 11-1 mid-game run. The game will feature the top two goal scorers in Major League Lacrosse history, Baltimore's Mark Millon (214 career goals)

"I thought it would be interesting to give it a try," Morley said. He now plays for a club team, Heaton Mersey. These World Games are Morley's third as a member of the English team, and, he said, will be his last. His speed and power has made him one of England's top scoring threats -- he scored four goals in England's 10-9 loss to the Iroqouis Nation on Friday.

Sonia LaMonica was named head women's lacrosse coach at Mount St. Mary's. LaMonica comes to the Mount after a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Towson, where she helped the Tigers to a 26-12 record, two Colonial Athletic Association championships and two NCAA Division I Tournament appearances. Women's soccer: Navy team captain Beth Reed has been named by ESPN The Magazine as Women's Soccer Academic All-American of the Year. Her teammate, Shelly Moeller , also was named to the Academic All-America team, as was Loyola's Theresa Ferraina .

You could have chosen a better photograph for your coverage of the Maryland-Syracuse lacrosse match ( " Terps explode in 2nd quarter ," Feb. 23) or at least captioned it correctly if you thought it had newsworthy merit. Instead of being captioned, "Maryland defenseman Goran Murray, right, stops Syracuse's Hakeem Lecky as he attempts to take a shot in the second quarter," the photo should have more appropriately been captioned, "Maryland defenseman Goran Murray applies an illegal body- and cross-check to the head of Syracuse's Hakeem Lecky, knocking off Lecky's helmet in the process.
