Suddenly on May 17, 2006, DAVID M. KERBY beloved son of Stephen W. Kerby Sr., and Deborah A. Kerby (nee Macciola) and devoted brother of Stephen W. Kerby Jr., and his wife Tara, loving grandson of Frederick Kerby and the late Catherine Kerby and Daniel and Glenna Macciola, loving companion of Brenda Sutton. Also survived by a niece, Hailie N. Kerby, nephew Stephen W. Kerby III "Willie" and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue on Sunday, at 8 P.M. Interment private.

MAURICE "Bo" KERBY, born October 15, 1919 in Baltimore, MD, passed away at his home in San Diego, CA, on April 9th, at the age of 87. Bo is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anne Kerby; his sister Theresa Kerby; his daughter Cathy Lapoint; his son-inlaw John Lapoint MD; and four grandchildren; Jeff and Eliko Lapoint; Jody and Kirk Hinkleman. Bo served his country in World War II as an Army Medic and worked for Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. directly after his service. Bo was a longtime, faithful member of the Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church in Baltimore.

(nee Sandkuhler); beloved father of Elaine Grams and her husband Victor; dear brother of Maurice Kerby, Theresa Kerby and the late Dorothy Lins and Marguerite Kopper; loving grandfather of Mark Grams and his wife Denise and Steven Grams and his wife Katie; great-grandfather of Ryan and Noelle Grams. Friends may call at the family owned Leonard J. Ruck, Inc. Funeral Home, 5305 Harford Road (at Echodale), on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ursula Church, on Monday, 10 A.M. Interment Parkwood Cemetery.

A pair of computer-animated, wandering eyes encourages young readers to look at Mona Kerby's Web site, "The Author Corner: Mid-Atlantic Authors."The site introduces middle school students to mid-Atlantic authors and illustrators of children's books. Kerby, an assistant professor of library science at Western Maryland College, is among them."I did this for the sheer love of it. When you've been a teacher for so long, you're always looking for ways to make students read," said Kerby, a teacher at Western Maryland College for three years.

County officials hope to finish York Road repairs by tomorrow Baltimore County public works officials said they hope to have the portion of York Road in Cockeysville that was damaged by a water main break repaired by tomorrow. One side of the road near the site of the break has been reopened to two-way traffic, and water service has been restored in the area, officials said. The 12-inch main in the 11000 block of York Road broke about 3 a.m. Wednesday, Baltimore public works officials said.
