Charles Henri Ford, 94, a prolific artist also regarded as America's first Surrealist poet, died Friday in New York. He published 16 books of poetry and also created paintings, drawings, collages and photographs during a career that spanned more than six decades. In 1933, he co-wrote The Young and Evil, considered by many to be the first gay novel. David Granger, 99, an Olympic medalist who occupied a seat on the New York Stock Exchange for 76 years, died in Manhattan on Friday. Mr. Granger, who began his Wall Street career in 1926 after working at his father's law firm, was active on the exchange for more years than anyone else in the board's history.

But there is one place that can make us both happy: Kenny Rogers Roasters. The "roasters" refers to wood-roasted chicken, which, according to the menu, is significantly lower than the fried stuff in fat, sodium and calories.

In his final season at Colorado he played in all 13 games, started seven and had 29 receptions for 447 yards and five touchdowns. What type of music do you listen to? "I listen to a wide variety of music, but it pretty much consists of rock and country. It doesn't stray too far from that." What is the last movie that you saw? "I don't know what the last thing I saw was but the best thing I've seen lately was Walk the Line.

I'm not always right, but I did say the Broncos were a lock - not a dominant one, but they covered - and that Kenny Rogers would outpitch Jeff Weaver to even the World Series as it shifts to St. Louis. Not exactly going out on the limb, but please don't ruin my moment. So Rogers had an unfair advantage because of the "substance" on his pitching hand? (It was pine tar, folks. Let's not call it anything else.) He didn't exactly get smacked around after he washed it off. I hate the close-ups of Weaver peering in for the sign from his catcher.
