A Severn man was arrested on drug charges Sunday after officers stopped his car about a mile from his home and found $3,600 worth of crack cocaine in the glove compartment, county police said.Police said they stopped the 1991 Nissan Maxima shortly before 1 a.m. during an anti-drug operation at Stillmeadows Drive and Parham Court in the Stillmeadows community.They said they saw a plastic bag containing what they suspected to be drugs "in plain view" and found 36.3 grams of crack cocaine, a measuring teaspoon and 62 plastic bags in his car.Kenneth Lee Osborne, 44, of the 8400 block of Pioneer Drive was charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

A second person has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the slaying last October of a Joppatowne man.Kenneth Lee Daughton, 47, of the 3000 block of Laurel Bush Road also was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and is being held without bond at the Harford County Detention Center, XTC a sheriff's spokesman said.The man's girlfriend, Luana Lynn Gill, 34, of the 700 block of Farnham Place in Bel Air was arrested on identical charges Tuesday.Charging documents for both showed that sheriff's investigators believe Ms. Gill and Mr. Daughton planned the Oct. 29 shotgun slaying of Michael Cory Allendorf, 31, of Joppatowne.

An accident in White Marsh Thursday claimed the life of an Edgewood man and closed a portion of Pulaski Highway for several hours during the evening commute. Kenneth Lee Stanley died at the scene shortly before 6 p.m. He had stopped his vehicle in the center median of the highway near Reames Road and was struck by another vehicle as he stood near his own car. A 16-year-old boy and a man were stabbed Monday at a Glen Burnie mall, Anne Arundel County police said yesterday. The teenager, who police are not identifying because he is a minor, was stabbed multiple times in the upper body and was listed in critical condition earlier this week, police said. The other victim, Dexter Fuqua, 22, was stabbed once in the left hip and treated at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, police said. Kenneth Lee Mayfield, 17, and Corey Jermaine Drake, 20, both of Glen Burnie, have been charged with two counts of attempted murder and assault in the incident, police said.

Three people were seriously injured yesterday morning when a man driving a pickup truck collided with another pickup truck whose occupants were closing a lane of Interstate 95, causing a five-mile backup from downtown to O'Donnell Street. The accident occurred about 10: 15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95, near the I-395 interchange, on an elevated section of highway. Kelly Melhem, a spokeswoman for the Maryland Transportation Authority police, said the accident occurred when the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck tried to merge from the left lane to a middle lane.

County police arrested a Severn man Wednesday and charged him with stabbing his roommate during an argument over money.Carl Joseph Wildeman, 31, of the 1400 block of Maryland Ave. was charged with first-degree assault and using a deadly weapon with intent to injure.Kenneth Lee Herron, 42, was treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center for cuts on his chin and arm and released.Police said two men at the Maryland Avenue address began fighting after arguing shortly before 11 p.m.One of the men grabbed a kitchen knife and cut the other on his chin, lower lip and arm, police said.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund.
