Leonard Stulman, a Baltimore developer and philanthropist whose million-dollar gifts enriched educational, medical and religious institutions, died Sunday of heart disease at his Pikesville residence. He was 95. Mr. Stulman and his wife, Helen Rand Stulman, who married in 1941, established the Leonard and Helen R. Stulman Charitable Foundation Inc., and gave away millions through the years. Recipients of their largess included the Johns Hopkins University, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital, Sinai Hospital, Chizuk Amuno Congregation, Baltimore Hebrew University's School of Continuing Education, the United Way and Associated Jewish Charities.

Five Glen Burnie residents have been arrested on drug charges after a three-week investigation prompted by neighbors' complaints, Anne Arundel County police said. Officers arrested Michael A. Baldwin, 24, and Lynda C. Baldwin, 46, of the 400 block of Kenilworth Court; Kevin R. Dailey Jr., 24, of Michele Circle; and Otis W. Gray, 22, of the 7000 block of Elvaton Road on Wednesday on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Dawan L. Holland, 19, of the 7000 block of Castle Hedge Dell, was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

A landlord has agreed to pay $900,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by Baltimore Neighborhoods Inc., a fair housing group that accused the owner of a Northeast Baltimore County apartment complex of steering black tenants to the project's back buildings, BNI was to announce today.The suit in Baltimore City Circuit Court against the owners of Kenilworth at Perry Park Apartments was the result of a complaint to BNI from a former Kenilworth employee who said the landlord was practicing racial steering.

Starting tomorrow, Bendann Art Galleries hosts an exhibit of oil paintings by Adel Sansur titled Expressions and Impressions. Done on stretched canvas, the 25 paintings depict people in a variety of settings, from seascapes to landscapes and stages. The exhibit opens tomorrow and runs through Oct. 15.
