Valerie Twanmoh, a Democrat who has twice run unsuccessfully for County Council, announced last week that she will seek the District B seat for a third time in this fall's election. Speaking to a crowd of supporters in downtown Bel Air on Tuesday, Twanmoh, a land-use attorney, said she would work to preserve land while promoting economic development to meet the needs of the military base realignment and closure process, goals that she said "are not mutually exclusive." "The people of District B are ready for a council representative who is in touch with the issues that matter to them, someone who will not only listen, but who will take action on their behalf," said Twanmoh, 48, a Fallston resident and mother of three.
