Funeral service will be on Friday at Parklane Baptist Church, 3606 Mohawk Avenue. Family hour 10 to 10:30 A.M., service will follow. Interment King Memorial Park.

Juanita B. Millican, a retired Social Security Administration analyst and a gardener, died Sunday of lung cancer at her Ten Hills home. She was 79. Juanita Brown, the daughter of farmers, was born in Ragland, Ala., and graduated from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Ala. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park, and worked as an SSA analyst from 1969 until retiring in 1996. An avid gardener, Mrs. Millican was president of the Ten Hills Garden Club at her death and was a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland, where she established its Web site and also edited Gardenews, the organization's newsletter.

She is survived by one grand-daughter, Dominique Fair-Sandullo; three sisters, Mary Fair, Naomi Harvell and Larinea Trusty and many nieces nephews and cousins. On Saturday, a Memorial Service will be held at St. John Episcopal Church, 3009 Greenmount Avenue at 10 A.M. Immurement at the Cathedral Church of the Incarnation, 4 East University Parkway in Baltimore to follow services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Juanita's name to the The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, 1 Charles Center, 100 North Charles St. , Suite 234, Baltimore, MD 21201.
