Jane Frances Geipe, who co-owned a moving and storage business, died of congestive heart failure March 31 at her Glyndon home. She was 80. Born Jane Frances Sturm in Baltimore and raised on Fulton Avenue, she was a graduate of the old St. Martin's High School and attended the old St. Joseph's College in Emmitsburg, where she was later active in alumnae work. After raising her family, she sold residential properties for Schuster Realty and Ensor Realty in Baltimore County. In 1977, she joined other family members to found Easy Movers of Glyndon.

Youth orchestra to get a new home The Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra has reached an agreement with Indian Creek School to move its operations to the new Indian Creek Upper School in Crownsville in September. The CYSO, founded in 1990, has held its rehearsals at Heritage Baptist Church in Annapolis for the past 13 years. The orchestra has grown to two full orchestras, two all-string orchestras, two flute choirs and a wind ensemble and has outgrown the space at Heritage. The newly constructed Indian Creek Upper School campus, which is scheduled to open in August, will have a 435-seat auditorium and a stage, which will be used for concerts.

On January 21, 2006, JANE FRANCES (nee Scheurich) TACKA, beloved wife of Walter F. Tacka, dear daughter of the late Dr. John A. Scheurich and Helen (nee Gannon) Scheurich; dear sister of the late Helen Marie Hart. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of loving friends. Jane Frances Sellmayer Beck, a retired nurse and teacher, died of complications from cancer Thursday at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium. She was 77. She was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a woman who brought babies into the world as a nurse, taught children in school and patched them up as the de facto medic of her neighborhood. Born in Baltimore and raised on Chilton Street near Lake Montebello, Jane Frances Rosendale attended the Institute of Notre Dame, graduating in 1946.
