James Lee Fisher, former Towson University president, has no spring break. This week he was in the Charlotte, N.C., airport on yet another consulting job. He was heading to a college whose administration is paying for his advice and recommendations. Fisher is now 76 and says he feels like 56. He still plays basketball with his grandson. From 1969 to 1978, he was the president of Towson University and saw its enrollment nearly double. "Towson was the best decade of my life. When James L. Fisher and his wife, Kimberly, decided to move, it took them only five minutes to go from the old to the new. The couple, the very first residents of HarborView condominiums, have done exactly that, in purchasing one of the residences at The Townes of HarborView - located at the Inner Harbor off Key Highway in Baltimore's Federal Hill. The elegant, Georgian-style townhouses, together with the monolithic condominium tower and a separate building of 164 luxury apartments, make up the urban resort otherwise known as HarborView Marina & Yacht Club.

Hillary's JobDuring the campaign of 1992, it was made evident that -- in the event her husband became president -- Hillary Rodham Clinton would not be "staying home and baking cookies," that in fact she would go to work alongside her husband. The people who voted for Bill Clinton -- those who were paying attention, anyway -- implicitly approved of this partnership. Some of us were excited about it.James Fisher (Opinion * Commentary, Jan. 5) misses this point entirely, sniffing that neither management theory nor Roman history support this model of governance.
