Growing up in the South, we had a favorite family ritual -- dinner every month or so at Morrison's Cafeteria. There was something enthralling about the wide array of foods being offered by the ladies behind the counter. A typical meal for me would have been the old standby, the hamburger "steak," mashed potatoes and, of course, Jell-O for dessert (which my brother and I would suck down with straws until a parent had heard enough). Cafeterias are still around but now they're called buffets.

On April 19, 2004; WILLIAM OTIS OLIVER; beloved husband of Cordelia Daniels Oliver; devoted father of Sandra Oliver Heningburg; brother of Selma Sue Rozier; loving grandfather of Michael Heningburg, Jr. and wife Jeanine Downie Heningburg. Teammates nicknamed her "Pinky" - the color she crochets into delicate blankets. But on the mat, very little is soft about Western Tech's Jade Hendricks. The sophomore has had her hand raised in victory six times and has been pinned only once in five losses. Three coaches have forfeited bouts rather than risk their athletes' losing to Hendricks, a defensive wrestler whose balance helps her control male opponents. Her coach once watched Hendricks pin someone, return to the bench and begin crocheting.

Family may call at Fleck Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 to 4 P.M., memorial service will follow at 4 P.M. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in her name, to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.

One of the great fashion mysteries is who in the world actually wears hot pants. Apparently, the answer is Jade Jagger. On a recent visit to Los Angeles, the daughter of Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger and his first wife, Bianca, held court in a bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel dressed in super-short shorts and a green sweatshirt silk-screened with a pornographic image. Not exactly the kind of gal one would peg as the creative director of Garrard. Founded in 1735, the old-guard British crown jeweler renovated the Imperial State Crown for Queen Elizabeth's coronation in 1953 and also created Princess Diana's engagement ring.

Suddenly on March 13, 2003, JADE C. BRYAN, beloved daughter of Charles R. Bryan and Catherine DeMarco. Sister to Jason Bryan. Granddaughter to Charles and Anna Bryan and Alexandra May Milano.
