On the home front, Mick Jagger reveled in his role as paterfamilias. He was photographed sitting in an armchair holding Elizabeth Scarlet, flanked by the baby's half sisters, Karis and Jade. Although Jade lived with Bianca and Karis with her mother (Marsha Hunt) in London, whenever the girls visited their father in New York he insisted on personally screening their boyfriends. He admitted that for a teen-age boy, the experience of meeting Mick Jagger before taking out his daughter must have been "horrific."

If a soccer player does not move from her home and is going to the same school this year that she attended last year, should that cost her a year of playing time? That's the question that Jade Wildt, a Mount Hebron sophomore, and her mother, Leslie, would like to have answered and soon, before the soccer season ends and Jade has lost an entire year of high school playing time. "If they [county school officials] would tell me that I could play, of course I would, like even if there was a week left of soccer, because I love to play it. But I don't really think they would," Jade said.

Q: My problem is that I am very thin. I want to buy a drop-dead evening dress for summer, but I don't want it cut on the bias. This may be the current rage, but on me all it does is show off my hip bones. What's an alternative?A: A dress with detailing such as embroidery, shirring, ruffles, flared or gathered skirts will help disguise your thin figure. And, according to Rome designer Valentino, they will also "highlight your femininity."With his spring collection Valentino makes a strong statement for a return to the romantic styles that he says "flatter women most."

"I'm a nice girl," Linda Fiorentino says, curling up on a couch in a Manhattan hotel. Is she convincing? Not very. But being nice wouldn't be a good career move for an actress who can be so good being so bad.Ms. Fiorentino, cat-like, vaguely feral and prettier in person than she is on screen, made movie history with her portrayal of Bridget Gregory, the demi-whore with the heart of stone in John Dahl's neo-noir "The Last Seduction." Never before had such an irredeemable character been played by a woman.
