Baltimore County police say they believe an 18-year-old man found stabbed to death in a wooded area of Curtis Bay was killed sometime last week in Lansdowne. Ryan Wesley Jackson, of the 3600 block of West Bay Ave., had been reported missing on Oct. 14 after his girlfriend hadn't seen him for two days, county police said. On Oct. 15, his family visited a home in the 700 block of Rambo Court where they believed he might be. "The family went over there, and was able to go into the home," said Det. Cathy Batton, a county police spokeswoman.

Scores of Santa Barbara County law enforcement officers descended on pop star Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch yesterday, scouring the amusement park estate for evidence in what authorities called an "ongoing criminal investigation." They arrived in unmarked vans and cars at 8:30 a.m. and fanned out amid the 2,600-acre Santa Ynez Valley ranch, which includes a mansion, amusement rides and a zoo. The raid occurred as the pop star was shooting a music video in Las Vegas. Authorities refused to discuss the investigation, but a lawyer who represents the star's family said it stemmed from accusations of child molestation.

1 Like Now -- The name of owner John Dillon's first horse 25 years ago, he was given the same name because the time limit for no duplication had expired. 2 Platinum Couple -- Both owner-trainer Joe Lostritto and his wife have platinum hair, so this gray-roan colt runs in their name. 3 Hemingway's Key -- Bred in Florida where George Steinbrenner's racing operation is based, his name is a tribute to writer Ernest Hemingway's love of Key West. He is a grandson of Island Whirl. 4 Greeley's Legacy -- A son of Mr. Greeley, he is one in a line of offspring named in honor of a prolific sire.

The Five Mile House has had a long run as a socializing spot for blacks in Baltimore, drawing the likes of former mayor Kurt L. Schmoke and U.S. Rep. Elijah E. Cummings. But the Park Heights nightclub, recognized for good music, relaxation and soul food for more than 25 years, is again facing questions about its security after, the killing there Sunday of a 33-year-old mother of three. Police say the nightclub, across the street from a police substation, is not the subject of frequent calls, but community leaders concerned about the business' image have called for a return to a stricter admissions policy.

LOS ANGELES - - Los Angeles police completed an "extensive interview" Saturday night with the doctor who was with Michael Jackson when the pop star went into cardiac arrest, and a source close to the investigation said detectives found "no red flag" during discussions about the death. A private pathologist, meanwhile, conducted a second autopsy on Jackson's body, hours after it was released to relatives by the Los Angeles County coroner. Coroner's officials had said that Jackson had been using prescription drugs, and the investigation is focused on whether Jackson overdosed.
