* Dave Johnson, 56, of Ellicott City, a professional properties manager:I'm not sure I agree with swapping -- in order to leave the cemetery alone, to offer another piece of land. I don't necessarily think they should offer another piece of land. Swapping land is not necessarily right.

Ravens rookie Joe Flacco gave Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb a shout-out. Flacco said he was aware a game could end in a tie but said people were making far too much of a deal out of McNabb's not knowing. I agree with Flacco. ( For more, go to baltimoresun.com/ravensinsider)

I agree with Dan Rodricks ("O'Malley shows more ambition than leadership," March 15) and this does not happen often. Our alabaster nanny Martin O'Malley or "MOM," is very ambitious, and he is also a good politician, but he is very weak in management and is a poor leader. By the way, these are all traits he shares with President Obama. Lyle Rescott, Marriottsville

Regarding the editorial "We need an election" (Aug. 2) and the letter on the Internet criticizing President Obama. I agree completely. Mr. Obama is the worst president since George W. Bush. With the election in 2012 we have a chance to change that. David Ingalls, Severna Park

I agree with your reader from Cockeysville that op-ed contributor Charlotte Allen's piece on Sarah Palin's 2016 presidential prospects was hilarious ("Palin for president? Very funny," Nov. 28). It was almost as funny as the list of President Obama's qualifications to be commander in chief. Missed that list? Yeah, I didn't see it either. Probably because he has no qualifications to run this country. David Haubner, Parkville

Gibsonburg, Ohio. -- Women want to see more naked men in the movies. On the screen, not in the seat next to them.Recently, Glamour magazine polled 2,000 women between the ages of 18 and 44, asking if they felt exploited by excessive female nudity in the movies. Two-thirds of them said yes. Eighty-six percent voted to turn the tables and undress the men. Payback time, I guess. But wait a minute. Are we sure this is the way we want it? I decided to take my own survey. ''Are you in favor of gratuitous male nudity in the movies?

This episode includes poetry and haggis. Actually, poetry and haggis together! A little haggis always makes the poetry go down easier, don't you think? Let's kick things off with ... Airport Shenanigans of Mistaken Euphoria You know that feeling you get when you get the last tickets to Scotland on an earlier flight, and your least favorite teams are stuck on a flight three hours later? You do a little dance, skip around, maybe plan to do some sightseeing with all that free time you'll be enjoying?

While I agree that chemicals and manure are major problems contributing to Chesapeake Bay pollution, there are two additional concerns that should be addressed. One is the pollution associated with power mowers, leaf blowers and edgers. Most or these gasoline engines have little or no pollution controls. The second is the increasing population in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. During my lifetime, the population in Maryland has more than tripled, and homes and highways continue to reduce the efficiency of trees in cleansing the environment.

I agree there should be space available for low- and moderate-cost housing. I wouldn't be able to judge at this time whether the number is too high or low. If properly zoned, I don't think it will have an adverse effect on property values. The only question is, how will the county pay for it? Will there be an added burden on other services?

Last week, we noted the year's earliest sunset on Dec. 7, and the latest sunrise Jan. 5. Now Jeff Brauner wants an explanation. "Seems counterintuitive," he says. I agree. Both events should occur Dec. 21, with the winter solstice. And they would, if we all still went by solar time and marked 12 noon whenever the sun was highest overhead. But we go by our atomic clocks, and at this time of year they get out of step with the sun. More? Google "earliest sunset latest sunrise."
