Henry Miller "Hank" Worthington, a retired hardware executive and music lover who enjoyed waterfowl hunting, died Monday of complications from dementia at his Garrison home. He was 80. Mr. Worthington, the son of a hardware executive and a homemaker, was born in Baltimore and raised in Forest Park and Garrison. He was a 1948 graduate of Gilman School and attended Princeton University, where he played ice hockey and was captain of the skeet shooting team. "He was an expert marksman, a skill inherited from his father, a 13-time Maryland state skeet and trap champion," said a son, Edward H. "Ned" Worthington of Garrison.

APPLEFELD (nee Miller); beloved wife of the late Leon Applefeld; devoted mother of Arnold Applefeld and Linda Blumenthal of Florida; dear mother-in-law of Suzanne Applefeld and Harry Blumenthal; devoted sister of the late Iris Hohman, Rose Levinson, Henry Miller and Rosal Pickus. Also survived by four loving grandchildren and five loving great-grandchildren. Funeral services private at the convenience of the family. Interment in Arlington Cemetery, Chizuk Amuno Congregation, 4300 N. Rogers Avenue.

Myrtle M. Watson, an Army nurse whose indelible memories of the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor remained with her for the rest of her life, died Feb. 11 of vascular disease at Oak Crest Village. The Northeast Baltimore resident was 98. Early in the morning of Sunday, Dec. 7, 1941, Mrs. Watson was busy working her first solo weekend assignment in the orthopedic ward at Schofield Hospital near Pearl Harbor, which was short-staffed because it was a weekend. She began pushing bedridden men out to a second-story lanai so they could take in a barefoot inter-regimental football game that was to be played on the hospital lawn.

Zoning appeals board approves small kennel The Board of Zoning Appeals has approved a conditional use for a kennel for fewer than 10 dogs at 1023 Wesley Road in Finksburg. The 87.56-acre property is owned by Robert Henry Miller and is zoned agricultural. The kennel is located in the center of the property and meets the lot requirements for the zoning ordinance. Miller owns six beagles, a foxhound and an Eskimo dog. He said he does not intend to board any dogs. The board, which heard no complaints from neighbors and found no adverse impact on the area, approved the request.

Ellwood Avenue at Hudson Street), Canton beginning at 11 A.M. Interment to follow in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
