On July 11, 2003, CLEMIE HAUGHT of Glen Burnie; beloved husband of Blanche Haught (nee Weddell) and the late Marie A. (Rita) Haught (nee Gasser); devoted father of Donna Lee Sanders, Helen Marie Haught and Clemie Richard Haught, Sr. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and his sister Thelma R. Sadly, On May 25, 2008, HELEN MARIE HAUGHT, devoted daughter of the late Clemie and Marie "Rita" Haught, beloved sister of Clemie R. Haught, Sr. and his wife Jeannette R., and Donna L. Sanders and her husband Craig R., dear aunt of three nieces, five nephews, and eight grand-nieces and nephews, cherished friend of Mary Ann Wallace. Family members and friends may call at the family owned AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Road on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M., where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1 P.M. Interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.

On December 8, 2007, JACOB "Ben" HAUGHT went home to be with the Lord, beloved husband of the late Margaret Haught (nee Peterson), loving father of Charlotte deHaas and her husband Philip and William Haught and his wife Sharon, loving grandfather of Debra, Mark, Philip, Scott, Donna and Kimberly and loving great grandfather 14 great grandchildren. A Viewing and Funeral Service will be held in Leesburg, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Helping Up Mission, 1029 Baltimore St., Baltimore, MD 21202.

A bit of Seoul and Barcelona came to South Shore Elementary School last Friday through two Marylanders who participated in the summer Olympic games.Michelle Knox, a member of the 1992 U.S. rowing team, and Theresa Haught, a member of the 1988 U.S. kayak team, visited the school and presented awards to about 50 students who qualified for the school's own team, an Olympic reading team."

Norma Hodges Haught, a retired city teacher who headed the mathematics department at Woodbourne Junior High School, died Monday of a blood infection at St. Joseph Medical Center. She was 87 and had moved in 1985 to the Edenwald retirement community in Towson after living for many years in Hamilton. Born Norma Hodges in Baltimore, she graduated in 1937 from Goucher College and joined the Baltimore school system as a mathematics teacher. She retired from Woodbourne, later renamed Chinquapin Middle School, as head of the mathematics department.

Lunch time at Carrolltowne Elementary's cafeteria in Eldersburg finds Tyler Haught in his own peanut-free zone. So severely allergic is the 6-year-old child to peanuts that even a taste of the ubiquitous legume can have him gasping for breath in seconds.He wears a medallion around his neck that warns he has "anaphylactic reaction to peanuts and all peanut products." Anaphylaxis is a condition of hypersensitivity to proteins or other substances. The symptoms, including swelling, respiratory distress and collapse of circulation, can be fatal.
