FIRE* Hampstead: Hampstead firefighters responded at 11:44 a.m. Thursday to a field fire on Hampstead-Mexico Road. Units were out for 34 minutes.* Manchester: A tree fire on Michelle Road Wednesday required the services of Manchester firefighters at 5:40 p.m. They were out for 29 minutes.

Vehicles and mailboxes were vandalized early yesterday in a Hampstead neighborhood, according to town police, who are seeking information from the public. Between midnight and 1 a.m., six mailboxes were knocked off their posts on and near Dogwood Road in the Hampstead Valley subdivision. Three vehicles also were damaged; one had its rear windshield knocked out, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call Hampstead Police Department at 410-239-8954.
