On July 6, 2005 HENRY L. HOLTON beloved husband of Lena M. Holton (nee Dudeck) and devoted father of Bonnie Dowell, Carol Halstead and Henry L. Holton, Jr. (Larry). Also survived by grandchildren Christopher Dowell, Michael Palmer and Jill Shannon and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue on Monday, July 11 at 1 p.m. Interment Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours on Saturday and Sunday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

WASHINGTON -- In Thinktankland, the main attractions are by now wearyingly familiar. But since the beginning of this year, a new entry in the public-policy community, the New America Foundation, has been trying to provide something different.

A Baltimore County school bus driver and an attendant were suspended from their jobs for five days without pay yesterday, a day after a 3-year-old boy was left alone on a bus in a storage yard for about four hours. The driver, Louise N. McLean, 57, of Glen Arm and the attendant, Elisabeth Linde, 64, of Perry Hall apparently failed to complete a search of the bus Tuesday, leaving 3-year-old Malik S. Lucas alone in a locked bus at a gated yard near Kenwood High School in eastern Baltimore County, said Rita Fromm, director of transportation for the school system.

Also survived by six grandchildren. Ceremony to honor Guard members The Maryland Army National Guard will recognize more than 125 soldiers from its headquarters and 58th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in ceremonies at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Towson University's Stephens Hall Theatre. Members of the unit will be honored for their service in Iraq during their deployment from April 2007 to April of this year. Information: 410-576-6179. Education CCBC awarded $2.6 million grant The National Science Foundation has awarded the Community College of Baltimore County a three-year, $2.6 million grant to continue operation of the Technology and Innovation in Manufacturing and Engineering Center.
