Two charged in thefts from open houses 2 Two men posing as homebuyers were arrested Sunday and charged on warrants with stealing property from homes open for inspection, said a city police spokesman. While a Realtor was showing a house in the 1600 block of Park Ave. about 2 p.m. Sunday, she received an e-mail message on her phone from Baltimore County police warning of men stealing property while posing as buyers; a photo of one suspect was displayed on her screen along with his car, said Detective Kevin Hagan, the spokesman.

Emily Hagan, a Baltimore artisan who crafted leather purses and jewelry, died of sepsis June 21 at Waynesboro Hospital in Waynesboro, Pa. She was 79. Mrs. Hagan, who was born Emily Haines, was raised in Baltimore and graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She married another artist, Paul Hagan, who worked in advertising, and the couple moved to Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., in the mid-1950s. They returned to the Baltimore area a couple of years later and in 1966 built their own house in Pasadena.
