He was predeceased by siblings the late Berlin, Frank and Harle Green, Neubie Hayes and DorothySampson. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Monday at the Haight Funeral Home and Chapel (6416 Sykesville Road) Sykesville. Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on Saturday and Sunday at the Funeral Home.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Jo (nee Barracca) Green for 37 years; devoted father of Jennifer S. Green and Stephanie E. Green; loving brother of Nancy C. Gardner and the late Vernon Green; uncle of Karen Radke, Kim Digiondomenico, and Jody Gardner; grand-uncle of Reid, Brennan, and Celia Radke, Abby Digiondomenico and Marlie Gardner.

John "Jack" Green, Sr., 67, of Street, Md. and formerly of Middletown, DE. died Friday, July 9, 2004 at the Gilchrist Center in Baltimore, MD. after a courageous battle with thyroid cancer. Jack was born on April 10, 1937 in Philadelphia to the late John C. and Ruth I. Green. He attended Middletown High School where he cultivated many long lasting friendships before his graduation in 1955. He attended New York State Vet College at Cornell University and graduated in 1958. He served in the Delaware Army National Guard from 1959 until 1964.
