The good news is that kids younger than 10 eat free at participating Denny's restaurants with the purchase of an adult meal, 4 p.m.-10 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays. The not-so-good news is that it's easy for those meals to break the bank on fat, calories and sodium. The Little Dippers Sampler, pictured with fruit, looks like a good choice, but it's got 23 grams fat and a whopping 1,200 milligrams sodium - before you even get to the fruit or the dressings. Flying Saucer pizza has a better profile.

What it is -- As buzz about the taste and health benefits of specialty chocolate grows, Ghirardelli introduces a line of dark bars to cater to the demand. What we like about it --Of the four flavors -- Twilight Delight, Toffee Interlude, Espresso Escape and Citrus Sunset -- Twilight Delight contains the highest cacao content (72 percent). This rich, concentrated cocoa taste is for connoisseurs of dark chocolate. If you prefer something sweeter, try the smooth-tasting Toffee Interlude. The toffee and caramelized almonds balance out the slightly bitter dark chocolate.

S'mores and Marshmallow Crispy Squares were a huge hit at our house. Of course, what kid turns down cookies that can be decorated with frosting and candy pieces? I'm not going to touch how healthful they are or aren't.
