County police called to a Glen Burnie apartment to end a fight early Saturday morning arrested two people on drug charges instead.Police said yesterday they arrived at an apartment building in the first block of Glen Ridge Road shortly after 2:40 a.m. They said they did not find the fight, but a strong odor of PCP from one of the apartments. When the officers knocked on the door, a man let them inside, the police report said.Police found a black canister on top of the refrigerator containing suspected PCP, rolling papers and matches and a glass jar containing suspected PCP in the freezer, an officer said.

Patricia E. Sadowski, a retired Baltimore County public schools reading specialist and music lover, died Sunday from congestive heart failure at Gilchrist Hospice Care in Towson. The Oak Crest Village resident was 76. "Pat worked with children who were learning to read and those who had been diagnosed with learning difficulties," said Flora Smith of Mount Washington, who worked with Mrs. Sadowski at Oakleigh and Hillendale elementary schools. "She was the ultimate professional. " The daughter of a business executive and a homemaker, the former Patricia Ellen Morrison was born in Baltimore and raised in Ridgewood, N.J., and Roland Park.

WASHINGTON -- The first time Bernard Lefkowitz saw the woman he would come to call "Leslie Faber," it was an anniversary, the kind that only journalists recognize. Was it year to the day since the retarded teen-ager had been assaulted, or a year to the day the so-called Glen Ridge rape case had come to light? That detail eludes him.But he remembers standing in front of Glen Ridge High School in the spring of 1990, talking to another student. Not one of the boys accused of assaulting Leslie, but someone outside that clique of popular jocks.

Anne Arundel : Glen Burnie Man charged with exposing himself A 45-year-old homeless man was arrested on St. Patrick's Day on charges that he exposed himself to a 10-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy on a Glen Burnie playground, county police said. Kenneth Daniel Hankins was charged with indecent exposure and is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center, police said. Police said a man was near the Glen Ridge Apartments on Glen Ridge Road when he exposed himself and asked the girl to "come over here."

County police arrested four people Wednesday on charges of breaking into a Glen Burnie woman's apartment and stealing money from her purse and a pager.Sharon Alger, 33, told police the men forced their way into her apartment in the 6900 block of Glen Ridge Circle shortly before 5 p.m. One man covered Alger's face while the others took the money and pager, police said. Alger broke free and called police, who saw four people leaving her apartment building when they arrived moments later.Officer Roger Crawford stopped the group and Alger identified them as her assailants, police said.

Police arrested a man and a juvenile from Odenton Monday and charged them with shoplifting from Macy's department store in Marley Station mall, county police said.The man and a 15-year-old boy were being watched on video as they picked up two Polo shirts and a Polo jacket worth $325 and put them into bags they were carrying, the police report said. The two were stopped in the store by a police officer after they passed several cash registers and were on the escalator, the police report said.

Two families displaced by the early morning blaze that killed a retired Baltimore City firefighter Sunday have been moved to other apartments in the Glen Ridge complex in Glen Burnie.Their apartments in the 6900 block of Glen Ridge Circle were damaged by smoke and water and declared unsafe by county officials.Lt. Robert Kornmann of the county Fire Department said the cause of the blaze still is under investigation.Sharon Hart, 25, who moved into a new apartment Monday, said she and her boyfriend had returned home shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday when they heard an explosion.
