Griffin and Patrick C. Griffin. Also survived by four grandchildren, Vincent M., Anthony A. and Jacob A. Geiman and Sereck J. Griffin A funeral service will be held at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Rd. on Thursday at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends on Tuesday and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 til 9 P.M. Interment Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

On November 8, 2005, RONALD JOSEPH GEIMAN, beloved husband of Leslie Geiman (nee Bleimeyer), preceded in death by parents Ruth E. Geiman (nee King) and Thomas E. Geiman and by his brothers William R. Hicks and Rev. Thomas W. Geiman. Survived by in-laws Lory Hicks, Alice Geiman, Dorothy, Donna, Paul, Tracy, Mark and Neil and their spouses. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, church family and friends throughout the U.S.A. Kara Geiman, Winters Mill SPORT LACROSSE GIRLS STATS -- The junior, who plays attack and midfield, had four goals and one assist through her first two games this season. A year ago, she finished with 17 goals and 13 assists. SIDELINES -- Falcons coach Courtney Vaughn says Geiman is a far more confident player than a year ago and has improved the placement and speed on her shot. While lacrosse may be her best sport, Geiman has been a swimmer since she was 5, and she specializes in the 50-meter butterfly for her summer team.

David C. Geiman Sr., a former partner in J. Stoner Geiman & Sons, a Westminster furniture store, died of a stroke Sunday at Carroll County General Hospital. He was 81. A lifelong Westminster resident and 1939 graduate of Westminster High School, he earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Baltimore and attended the old Baltimore Business College. During World War II, he joined the Navy and was stationed in Hawaii as a code-breaker. He was a member of the Carroll post of the American Legion and Molleville Farm post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The girls basketball team at North Carroll went through a reality check last week, and considered it a learning experience.It played three games in three days and came away with two victories, boosting its record to 4-1. The Panthers bracketed home wins over Walkersville and Hereford around a loss at Fallston.This is a young and relatively inexperienced team, with lone senior Jen Geiman and junior Stephanie Rogers the only returning regulars. Speed and quickness will help the defense, but there is no dominant offensive threat and no one taller than 5 feet 9."

Jen Geiman, who has improved her hitting after a slow start, singled twice and scored twice, and Katie Mullinix allowed one earned run and six hits, as North Carroll registered stayed atop the county standings with a 4-2 victory over visiting Westminster yesterday.The win enabled the Panthers (12-3, 4-1) to stay atop the county standings going into the final weekend of the regular season. Liberty is 2-2; South Carroll, 2-3; and Westminster, 1-3. The remaining county games have Liberty at Westminster (5-10)

Descendants of Christian and Barbara Geiman have succeeded in saving a family cemetery threatened by development.With help from the county, the genealogical society and the property owner, the family has preserved a small plot at Bachmans Valley and Hoover Mill roads.The plot, north of Westminster, is less than a tenth of an acre and was to be part of a six-lot subdivision called Danlyn Section 3 owned by Carol Bare of Westminster, said Franklin G. Schaeffer, chief of the Bureau of Development Review.
