Baltimore CityCUTTING: Northern District -- A resident of the 3700 block of Elm Ave. was in the 3900 block of Falls Road Sunday morning when he was attacked by several men who shoved him into a wall and cut him with a knife. The men escaped, and the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of several cuts.BURGLARY/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a man and charged him with entering a house in the 2900 block of Strickland St. and stealing property Sunday. Roger Wilkerson, 39, who gave his address as that of the burglarized house, was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail pending a bail review hearing.

Baltimore CityBREAK-IN/ARSON: Northern District -- About noon Monday, several youths entered the kitchen of a home in the 2700 block of Oakley Ave., defaced the front door and living room wall and set a fire in the kitchen. The amount of damage was not known. The intruders were being sought.BURGLARY: Northern District -- Five basketballs worth about $160 were taken from the Roosevelt Recreation Center in the 1200 block of W. 36th St. between 11 p.m. Sunday and 2 p.m. Monday. There was no forced entry.

Baltimore CityLARCENY FROM AUTO: Central District -- A thief smashed the window of a car parked in the 100 block of Concord St. between 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. yesterday and took a television, VCR and other property with a total value of $1,175.LARCENY: Central District -- A Smith and Wesson rifle was reported stolen from a residence in the 1000 block of St. Paul St. between 9 a.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Monday.BURGLARY RESIDENTIAL: Northern District -- A thief or thieves broke into a residence in the 600 block of Dumbarton Ave. between 1 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday and stole a floor stereo valued at $359.

BALTIMORE CITY* THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a 1988 Dodge that was parked in the 1300 block of Morling Ave. over the weekend and stole stereo speakers and a pair of work boots, all valued at more than $300.* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone took more than $250 from several vending machines at Hampden House in the 1100 block of W. 36th St. over the weekend.* BURGLARY: Northern District -- An answering machine and an antique stained-glass figure, valued together at $250, were stolen from a house in the 1200 block of W. Northern Parkway over the weekend by someone who entered through a window.

Mulberry St. Tuesday evening when two men, one with a handgun and the other with a baseball bat, struck him several times with the weapons and robbed him of $12.* ROBBERY: Central District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a female resident of the 1400 block of Druid Hill Ave. of $32 as the victim walked in the 500 block of W. Lafayette Ave....

Calvert St. about 2 a.m. yesterday.* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A man struck his roommate over the head with a toilet seat in their home in the first block of Bowleys Lane and fled with $40 in cash yesterday about 2:30 a.m.* BREAK AND ENTRY: Northeastern District -- Someone stole a $200 off-road motorcycle from a residential garage in the 2700 block of Grindon Ave. yesterday between midnight and 8 a.m.* STOLEN AUTO: Northeastern District -- Someone stole a 1991 black Hyundai from the 1500 block of Tunlaw Road between 1 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. yesterday.

BALTIMORE CITY* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1988 Acura Legend with Maryland tags AJB672 was stolen from the 5500 block of Leith Road Tuesday.* ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4400 block of Plainfield Ave. was in the 5200 block of Goodnow Road Tuesday when one of two men passing by fired a shot at him. The victim was not injured.* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1993 Honda witMaryland tags AWW049 was stolen from the 5600 block of Purdue Ave. Monday.* SHOOTING/ARREST: Eastern District -- A man seen by police shooting at another man in the 1500 block of N. Washington St. Tuesday night was himself shot during an exchange of gunfire with officers before they arrested him. Released from Johns Hopkins Hospital after treatment for a minor gunshot wound to the shoulder and charged with multiple counts of attempting to kill the officers and handgun violations was Antwaun Pender, 34, of the 600 block of Smithson St. He was being held at the station pending a bail hearing.
