Enlow.Services will be in the family owned McComas Funeral Home, P.A., Bel Air, MD on Saturday, July 9 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, MD. Friends may call at the funeral home in Bel Air on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Services for Alice W. Gardner, a former resident of the Baltimore area, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Ely Funeral Home in Neptune, N.J.Mrs. Gardner, who was 84 and moved to Falling Waters, W.Va., near Hagerstown, seven years ago, died Wednesday at a hospital in Elizabethtown, Pa., after a stroke.She had lived in the Baltimore area for 25 years and was a bookkeeper for Tate Engineering Inc.The former Alice W. Agnew was born in West Hoboken, N.J., and lived in Rumson, N.J., before moving to Maryland.

Morris Gardner, a longtime backstretch worker at Maryland horse tracks, died Sunday in his room at Pimlico. He was 51.His family said Gardner died of natural causes. He was employed as foreman for trainer Mary Eppler and had worked around tracks most of his life.A public viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Chatman-Harris Funeral Home, 5240 Reisterstown Road. Family members will receive friends in the chapel from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.On Friday, a wake will begin at noon at Mt. Calvary A.M.E.

Towson senior Andre Gardner threw his second straight no-hitter yesterday -- just missing his second straight perfect game -- by striking out 15 of the 16 batters he faced in a 10-0, five-inning victory over visiting Woodlawn. The only Woodlawn batter to put a ball in play was Elbarko Carr, who sent a pitch toward center in the third inning, only to be robbed by senior shortstop Mike Williams. On April 14, Gardner struck out 15 Pikesville batters in a six-inning, 11-0 perfect game. Yesterday, the only batter to reach against him came after a dropped third strike.

Margaret C. Gardner, a substitute teacher active in Scouting, died Thursday of complications after heart surgery at George Washington Medical Center in Washington. The Millersville resident was 82. Margaret Callen was born and raised in Loretto, Pa., and moved to Baltimore in the 1940s to work as a legal secretary for several downtown firms. Mrs. Gardner was a substitute Anne Arundel County elementary school teacher for 25 years and was active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and community recreation activities.

Washington Redskins rookie receiver Rod Gardner wasted no time getting down to business yesterday, taking part in both practice sessions just hours after signing a reported five year contract worth nearly $8 million. Gardner, the 15th overall pick in the April college draft, signed the deal just after midnight yesterday, joining the Redskins four days after camp opened Monday. Gardner, a 6-foot-2, 218-pound receiver who caught 166 passes in four years at Clemson for 2,498 yards, spent extra time with receivers coach Richard Mann between the morning and afternoon sessions to make up for lost time.

She is also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends. James Donald Gardner, a retired lithographer, died Feb. 1 at his Parkville home of undetermined causes. He was 76. Mr. Gardner was born in Baltimore and raised in Govans. He attended city public schools and was a member of the Maryland National Guard. During the 1940s, he completed a lithographic apprenticeship at the American Bank Stationery Co.'s plant on Pulaski Highway. From 1947 to 1950, he served in the Marine Corps and attained the rank of staff sergeant. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1950 and worked as a lithographer until being discharged in 1956.
