SOFTBALL Player of the Year Stephanie Speierman Hammond The four-time All-Metro first-team selection and three-time county Player of the Year closed out the most prolific career in county history with the same dominating play that epitomized her four years. In leading the Golden Bears to the county championship, Speierman went 15-3 with 300 strikeouts in 120 innings and batted .400 for the season. Headed to Michigan, Speierman leaves as the state's all-time strikeout leader with 1,363 and finished her career with a 71-13 record that included one state title.

Performer of the Year Devon Williams, Towson Catholic The sophomore opened the spring by winning the 400 at the MRW Northern Virginia Invitational in 55.99 seconds, establishing a new meet record in the process. Williams, the county's Performer of the Year in indoor and outdoor track the past two years, finished third in the 400 at the Morgan State Invitational, but rebounded by capturing the 400 at the Scudieri Team Challenge (56.93) and the 800 at the Widener Invitational (2 minutes, 10.24 seconds)

Player of the Year Colleen Matthes, Institute of Notre Dame The sophomore pitcher led the No. 5 Indians to a second straight runner-up finish in the tough and balanced Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference. Matthes went 16-8 for the season, recording 168 strikeouts in 161 innings and six shutouts. She had one perfect game, and also a no-hitter. She hit .397 with 19 RBIs. Coach of the Year Lisa Martin, Digital Harbor The first-year coach got the most out of a talented, young group to lead the Rams to a 15-0 regular season and the Baltimore City league title.
