She is also survived by mother Frankie DeWitt, two sons Darron and Lamont; one sister; four brothers; one brother-in-law; one sister-in-law; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the Carlton C. Douglass Funeral Service, P.A., 1701 McCulloh Street, on Monday 1-9 p.m. Family will receive friends at the Ark Baptist Church, 1263 E. North Avenue Tuesday 10-10:30 a.m. with services following.

On Saturday, April 26, 2008, EDITH "Grandma E" J.; beloved wife of the late Aleston A. Myers; devoted mother of Joyce Vernon, Alison Demchak, Sharon Williams, Diane Robinson and Lynn Murray. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one daughter Mary Frances David, four brothers and three sisters. Friends may call on Tuesday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A., 3111 Mountain Road where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery-Crownsville.

JOHNNY L. HENDRICKS, JR. (PIXIE) on December 25, 2007. He is survived by six children, four sisters, four brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may call at the Wylie Funeral Home, 9200 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD on Monday, December 31 from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at the Wylie Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 where the family will receive friends from 12-12:30 p.m. with funeral services immediately following. Interment Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.

Sister Joan Gormley, a Mount St. Mary's Seminary Scriptures professor, died of cancer Friday at Gettysburg Hospital in Pennsylvania. She was 70. Born in Philadelphia, she earned a bachelor's degree at Trinity College in Washington and a master's degree in classics from Harvard University. She later completed a doctorate in New Testament studies at Fordham University. Her postgraduate work included study at the Ecole Biblique de Jerusalem and the Theresian Documentation Center in Lisieux, France.

Ella Louise Andrews, who worked in soldering at area defense industries and had an animal care business, died of cancer Friday at Northwest Hospital Center. The Northwest Baltimore resident was 78. Born Ella Louise Bedford in Baltimore and raised in Towson, she attended Carver High School and the Apex Hair School. She worked at AAI Industries and Westinghouse Electrical Corp. in Linthicum. Mrs. Andrews also did house-sitting jobs and took care of her clients' pets. She also bred small dogs, played tennis at Druid Hill Park and skied.

On July 14, 2007 MR. CAREY, loving son of Novella Carey. Also survived by four brothers and one sister. Visitation at 2140 N. Fulton Avenue on Saturday, 2-3pm. The family will receive friends in the chapel on Sunday at 11am. Funeral at 12pm.

On May 30, 2007, ANDREW J. BENARICK, beloved husband of the late Lorena May (nee Bowyer), step-father of Diana L. Overfield, dear brother of Ann Lejsiak, Emily Abrahms and Elizabeth Struhar, preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk Inc., 7922 Wise Ave., on Friday at 7:30pm. Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Graveside Service and interment will take place at Thompson Cemetery in Long Branch, West Virginia, on Sunday, June 3 at 3:30pm.

A franchise that dates back to their comic-book debut in 1984, the turtles - four brothers, named after Renaissance painters and trained as warriors by a rat named Splinter - began their lives as a spoof of superhero and martial-arts comics.
