The life of ROSEMARY STENDORF, who passed away on December 6, 2007, mother of Susan (nee Grubb) Leaverton, currently of Montana and companion of Emil Rusinko, will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9 at 11AM at St Marks Lutheran Church, 1900 St Paul St, Baltimore. The service will be followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall.

St. Andrew's United to hold yard sale St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold its weekly yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. The cost is $15 for a 10-by-10- foot space and $5 for a table. Reservations are suggested. Concessions will be available. Information: 410-269-7671. Grace Baptist plans party for kids Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach, 17 Somerset Road, Pasadena, will hold a children's craft party from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow for children to make Father's Day gifts.

HOOPERS ISLAND - It has been more than three months since Tropical Storm Isabel ripped apart the watermen's villages of Fishing Creek and Hoopersville on this remote tendril of sand and marsh in Dorchester County. People still wonder whether things will ever be the same. While most communities hit hard by Isabel across the state are well on their way to recovery, these villages are still struggling. The bridge and causeway that link the two communities are open only a portion of each day as road crews make repairs.
