NEW YORK -- AOL, Time Warner Inc.'s Internet unit, and Intel Corp. started an online video-on-demand service yesterday that lets users watch films, concerts and sports programs on their television sets. The service allows users to search for videos available on AOL with a TV remote control, said Kevin Conroy, executive vice president at AOL. Personal computers based on Intel's Viiv semiconductors and software will make it easier to search, record and watch music and video files. "The partnership with Intel enabled us to bring this experience to the living room," Conroy said in an interview, referring to watching videos online.

Tina Fey's acclaimed NBC sitcom 30 Rock led all shows and made history with a record 22 nominations. But outside of that network triumph, cable TV once again dominated the prime-time Emmy award nominations in most major categories. Premium cable channel HBO led the field with a total of 99 nominations, while NBC finished a distant second with 67. HBO ran away from the pack with its superiority in movies and miniseries. Grey Gardens, a film starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange as two eccentric relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, earned 17 nominations alone.

Greg Shipley, a state police spokesman, said there was no evidence of foul play. He declined further comment and would not discuss the cause of death. Carozza was last seen as he left work Monday afternoon.

Anne Hathaway doesn't exactly fit the profile of young Hollywood today. She went to Vassar, religiously reads The New Yorker and gives up things for Lent. (This year it was Starbucks, chocolate and gossip.) She apologizes for being a "boring" interview, when what she's really acknowledging is she doesn't have any stories of ill-spent nights at Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel or in Brett Ratner's babe-cave. She blanches at a story about a Jane Austen relative who said (not really, the quote was taken completely out of context)

He started as a busboy, did food preparation and washed dishes before eventually moving to the back of the house as a cook. "I loved it so much; I've never looked back. " Now, the Butchers Hill resident, 31, is going into his sixth month as executive chef at Mount Vernon's City Cafe.
