On May 4, 2005, DOROTHY M. (nee Holyfield); beloved wife of the late Charles S. Tracey Sr. ; devoted mother of Charles S. Tracey Jr. and his wife Janet, Deborah M. Everhart and her husband Glenn, and Kevin J. Tracey. Also survived by four grandchildren, Jeremy Tracey and his wife Jill, Timothy Tracey and his wife Tricia, Justin Everhart and his wife Kate, and Jason Everhart, and three great- grandchildren. Services and interment will be private. Inquiries may be directed to Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road.

On July 30, 2004, GEORGE B. EVERHART, Jr., 74, died peacefully at home from cancer. He lived in Pasadena, MD, for about 40 years. He was born February 9, 1930, in Fredricksburg, VA, to George B. Everhart, Sr., and Catherine E. Albreght. He attended the University of Maryland for two years before he was drafted into the Army. He worked for A & P Bakery before working for the Postal Service. He retired from the Pasadena Post Office in 1995 and then moved to Ormond Beach, FL, in 1998. While in Maryland, he was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church.

Loving daughter of the late Samuel and Mabel McNabb; beloved mother of Craig, Scot and Anne Everhart; treasured grandmother of Kelly, Alan, Ian, Philip, Gregory and Brigit Everhart; dear sister to the late Arline Keller, Elsa McNabb, Wayne McNabb and Pam Shannon; devoted aunt of Doug and Kevin Keller, Colin McNabb, Arden Stoermer and Rich Shannon. Interment will be held at Loudon Park Cemetery, 3620 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore on Wednesday, May 30 at 10 AM. Funeral services will follow at Towson Presbyterian Church, 400 W. Chesapeake Avenue, Towson at 11:30 AM. Contributions may be made to Chesapeake Bay Foundation's "Save the Bay" or to the National Stroke Association.

There was negative news out of the Maryland football camp on the eve of spring practice. Linebacker Cleveland Everhart will not participate after his arrest on burglary and theft charges.Everhart, a senior from Highland Park, Mich., who was granted an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA because of medical hardship, was arrested by campus police at a residence hall March 19 and charged with two counts of first-degree burglary and one count of credit card theft.Everhart, a junior-college transfer from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M who started several games in 1993 but suffered a knee injury in the third game of 1994, is the second Terps football player to be arrested in as many months.

Western Maryland College freshman volleyball player Laura Everhart has been selected to the NCAA Division III All-East Region team, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.Everhart exceled in her first collegiate season as the Green Terrors' setter. The 5-foot-6 freshman compiled 1,041 set assists and contributed 73 kills to the Western Maryland attack. She was the only Green Terror to play in all 41 matches and was third on the team in digs with 241 and service aces with 46.Everhart also was named to the All-Tournament teams at both the Mary Washington College and Western Maryland Invitationals.

A Virginia man was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore yesterday after the dump truck he was driving drifted off a private drive on Sheppard Lane in Clarksville and tipped over, Howard County police said. James Everhart, 34, of Purcellville was unconscious at the scene and was taken to the hospital with a possible neck injury, police spokeswoman Sherry Llewellyn said. Police are investigating whether a medical condition might have caused Everhart to drift off the road while at the wheel of the three-axle dump truck.

One of five men accused of setting a string of residential arson fires in Charles County gave up his right to a second trial yesterday, agreeing to a prison sentence of at least five years. Michael McIntosh Everhart, 21, of Waldorf, pleaded guilty yesterday to conspiracy to commit arson in connection with fires at 35 homes under construction in the Hunters Brooke development in December 2004. Authorities have said it was the largest residential arson in state history. According to court papers, Everhart plotted with Patrick Walsh, 21, of Fort Washington; Jeremy Parady, 22, of Accokeek; and Aaron Speed, 22, and Roy McCann, 23, both of Waldorf.

GREENBELT - A second suspect in the arsons that caused $10 million in damage to a Charles County housing development was ordered released to home detention yesterday. Michael M. Everhart, 20, of Waldorf was told he must wear an electronic monitoring bracelet and will not be allowed to leave his parents' home without permission from authorities. The U.S. attorney's office, which is prosecuting the case, did not oppose Everhart's release to home detention during his appearance yesterday before Chief Magistrate Judge Jillyn K. Schulze in U.S. District Court.
