It's movie night and we're still minus our regular theme song. I'm bitter. There's popcorn throwing and an opening dance number with a couple of Marilyn Monroe references: The iconic dress over the exhaust grate from "The Seven Year Itch" and the pink dress number (copied by Madonna for her "Material Girl" video) from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. " Then there are baseball players? Because she married Joe DiMaggio? I don't know. These things don't have to make sense. Tom Bergeron introduces Kevin Hart, who gets an escort from a couple of the female pros and a quick dance before going to the judges table.

Stacy Keibler is one of a handful of stars rumored to be on the short list to become the next host of"The X Factor. " According to Entertainment Weekly, the Baltimore native who's profile has soared since dating A-lister George Clooney, is one of five people Simon Cowell is considering for the job to replace Steve Jones. Cowell apparently wants two people to host. As he puts it to EW, “I want to work with a boy and girl and I definitely think this is a role for two people.

The opening number is totally not ballroom. It's closer to jazz and hip-hop or I don't know what. Shirtless Keo Motsepe  though, so I don't care. Head judge Len Goodman  offers two dances as the possible encore - Janel Parrish & Val Chmerkovskiy  or Lea Thompson & Artem Chigventsev - and the audience will decide via Twitter who gets to dance.  The first couples up for results are Randy Couture & Karina Smirnoff , Betsey Johnson & Tony Dovolani  and Lea & Artem . From last night's extra footage, we see that Lea was wiping away tears at the end of Betsey's performance.

I think the president should invite Erin Andrews to the White House for a beer. But if Mr. Obama wants to include the creepy peeping Tom who videotaped the ESPN reporter naked through a hole in her hotel room wall, plus all the clowns at Fox, CBS and the New York Post who televised the video or ran still pictures taken from it, he is going to need more than a picnic table on the White House lawn. It seems to me that if the president of the United States is now refereeing community racial dust-ups, we ought to be able to count on him to step in when the national media and the world of sports demonstrate - 30 years after the courts granted women sports reporters equal status - that they haven't learned a thing.

Tonight is partner switch night and Julianne Hough is a guest judge. Maybe she'll snark on Mark Ballas some more. I loved that. The opening number has the pros dancing while the stars make their entrances one-by-one, without partners. Drew is in a gold lamé suit and I approve wholeheartedly. It's very reminiscent of what Elvis Presley wore on the cover of "50,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong. " We'll find out later if that's intentional. Julianne is wearing a weird top/dress that has a boob window.

As delicious as those leftovers are, you could enjoy them even more. Rather than just scarfing them down whenever the spirit moves you, why not try making a game of it? In the fashion of drinking games tied to television shows, you could link your eating to your sports TV viewing. Have a slice of turkey, a forkful of mashed potatoes or a piece of pecan pie each time: * Brent Musburger over-enthuses about the game he is calling. * Chris Berman makes a pop-culture reference at least 30 years old. * Jim Palmer mentions how he never gave up a grand slam.
TRAVEL

Erin Andrews has been all over the news recently in a matter I'm certain she would probably love to have go away. So far, that's not happening. People are still searching the Internet for the infamous "peeping Tom" clips that show the ESPN sportscaster in the buff. The video was possibly taken through a makeshift hole in a wall at some as yet unnamed hotel. Kind of scary for those women who often travel solo for business, adventure or pleasure. When I'm traveling alone, I always use the double locks on the door and sometimes I bring along a doorstop, too. I also avoid staying on the first floor.

No love lost in Texas David Teel Daily Press A democracy that has given us Sen. Al Franken and Gov. Terminator surely is capable of producing Sen. Craig James. But I'd sooner vote for Lee "Don't forget the 7-second delay" Corso. The beauty of James' folly is he's running in his native Texas. Sure, he starred there at SMU, but that outlaw era earned the program the NCAA's only death penalty. More than two decades later, James' ESPN-enabled crusade helped take down Texas Tech coach Mike Leach.
