Huddled around a conference table on a recent Friday afternoon, four best friends joked around as teenagers do. Mason Gainer, 13, took an up-close photo of 12-year-old Aiden Marceron, and wondered aloud if he should post it to Instagram. Louey Peraza, 15, discussed skateboarding as Francheska Pastor, 16, looked forward to completing some upcoming exams. Inside jokes flew around, light ribbing occurred and a natural ease between the foursome was clearly nothing new. Kids will be kids, right?

Local medical professionals will gather with members of Baltimore's gay community later this month to discuss a new medical treatment that involves HIV-negative patients taking a daily pill to avoid becoming infected. The April 28 forum, hosted by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of Baltimore, will cover the use of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, or PrEP, which "has been shown to reduce the risk of HIV infection among adult men and women at very high risk for HIV infection through sex or injecting drug use," according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

I'm not really one to question a Festival of Tolerance. It sounds nice. But perhaps the timing's not right when you're very much in midst of a murderous witch-vampire battle. And the head witch has turned into a cult leader. WORST FESTIVAL OF TOLERANCE EVER: Nan's Vampire League leadership never gets questioned. Maybe it should after this episode. Despite Bill's pleas, she's decided to go forward with the vague Festival of Tolerance. Even when silvered the day before in case Marntonia is up to her tricks.

DOWNLOAD: Childish Gambino, EP (2011, Internet) A fair question: Is Donald Glover too talented for his own good? The 27-year-old actor plays Troy on arguably NBC’s best comedy, “Community.” His sketch comedy group Derrick Comedy is a YouTube sensation. Glover’s been nominated for writing awards for his work on “30 Rock.” He goes on stand-up comedy tours. You might have even seen him in a Gap campaign. Lately it seems Glover’s passion is music.

Death Cab for Cutie [Atlantic Records] *** ( 3 STARS) cds The 2008 Grammy-nominated album by alt-rock band Death Cab for Cutie, Narrow Stairs, didn't quite achieve an even balance of light and dark tones. Although not exactly a depressing record, the CD was certainly more lyrically melancholic than its predecessor, 2005's Technicolor-bright Plans. On Narrow Stairs, DCFC crafted a novelistic album whose songs pondered heartbreak while the music vacillated between sunny and partly cloudy.

OK, the residents of Epping Forest are united in their objection to the development of 12 lots across from their encampment on Salt Creek. May I offer a simple solution to the environmental issues in this case? The bay is important to all of us. Brown water is not the optimum condition of the Severn River. In order to preserve the river and the bay, would all of the Epping Forest landowners who are within 1000 feet to Salt Creek abandon their properties, clear the land and return it to the predevelopment condition?
