St. Martin's concert to mark anniversary of Sept. 11 attacks St Martin's Lutheran Church will present the Heritage Singers' "Nine, One, One - A Concert of Remembrance," at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in the church sanctuary, 1120 Spa Road, Annapolis. The program, part of St. Martin's Concert Series, will be directed by Gordon Gustin and will include music by David York, Randall Thompson and Byron Adams. The concert is to mark the one-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Contributions will aid victims of the attacks.

Sunday was a wonderful day for a walk in the country. The pleasant temperatures and the gorgeous fall foliage made the day picture perfect. A great day for a 10-kilometer stroll.While nature provided the setting, some 140 walkers provided the energy for E.S.C.A.P.E. Ministries Inc.'s fifth annual River Road CROP Walk.Walkers of all ages strolled, jogged and puffed as they made their way over the hilly terrain of River Road, which meanders along the Patapsco River and into Howard County. The 6.2-mile trek seemed more than some had bargained for, but all walkers finished the course.
