Two brothers got into a fight Wednesday in Edgewood and one ended up at the hospital after being stabbed. Scott Cameron Little was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday after being stabbed in the abdomen and cut on his arms, allegedly by his brother, Gregory Duncan Little. Scott Little told police he was fighting with his girlfriend earlier in the evening at a house in the first block of Railroad Avenue in Edgewood and left to avoid further confrontation, according to a Harford County Sheriff's Office police report.

Police are looking for two men who robbed an Edgewood convenience store at gunpoint and fired off two shots early Friday morning. The Harford County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in obtaining information about the armed robbery that occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. Friday at the Mystik Mart in the 1700 block of Hanson Road. According to the sheriff's office, two suspects, described as black men, entered the Mystik Mart, pointed handguns at the clerk and demanded money.

Plans to establish a police precinct station in the Edgewood-Joppa area are a welcome sign for that sprawling community along U.S. 40 and for the citizens of Harford County. It's a logical response to a growing county and a sheriff's police force that is still entirely based in the county seat.Sheriff Joseph P. Meadows is moving quickly on negotiations for a site in that area and pledges to continue the effort if those overtures fail. He expects a decision by early summer.One problem is the lack of money in his budget to conclude any financial deal with property owners.

A 21-year-old Edgewood man has been arrested and charged in the shooting death of an Edgewood teenager last Thursday night that also left another Edgewood teenager in the hospital. Garfield Smith III, of the 1600 block of Candlewood Court, is charged with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and use of a firearm in the death of Michael Wayne Kearins, 17, of the 1900 block of Harewood Road in Edgewood, according to a media release from the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Three men were shot Tuesday night in Edgewood, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Police first received a report of shots fired in the 1900 block of Edgewater Drive shortly after 8 p.m., said Monica Worrell, a sheriff's spokeswoman. There they located two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One man, 43, was transported by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. The second man, 26, was transported by ambulance to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. A third shot man, 37, arrived shortly afterward at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center after being transported there by family members, Worrell said.

Harford County sheriffs arrested and charged a second person in the shooting of two Edgewood teenagers this month. James Cooper Valentine, 20, of Edgewood was charged with attempted murder, assault and other charges in connection with the double shooting of Solothol Delilly and Rashad Colyns, both 18 and from Edgewood, on July 11, police said. Keeyan Omar Brooks, 18, of the 400 block of Liberty Circle in Edgewood was arrested July 12 and faces the same charges. Maryland State Police were searching for a middle-age man in connection with two robberies Tuesday night in Edgewood. Shortly after 10 p.m., the man implied that he was armed with a handgun and robbed the Friendly's restaurant at 1407 Pulaski Highway, police said. Employees told police that the man entered the kitchen area through the carryout entrance. The few patrons dining in an adjacent room were unaware of the robbery, police said. During the investigation at the restaurant, Harford County sheriff's deputies responded to a robbery at a CVS pharmacy on Pulaski Highway.

The North Harford Hawks girls volleyball team defeated host Joppatowne 3-0 Wednesday night in an UCBAC Susquehanna Division match. The scores were 25-16, 25-19 and 25-19. Emily Cunningham led the way with five aces, nine kills and two blocks, while Sam Pappas added two kills. Julua Berg added four aces and two kills and Syd Billings had two aces. In Tuesday's girls volleyball action, Harford's girls volleyball teams were 2-2 against opponents from Cecil County, with Fallston and Edgewood posting wins, while Bel Air and Aberdeen faltered at the net. Fallston's girls volleyball squad earned a victory on its home court, defeating the visiting Elkton Golden Elks in three straight games.

An accident in White Marsh Thursday claimed the life of an Edgewood man and closed a portion of Pulaski Highway for several hours during the evening commute. Kenneth Lee Stanley died at the scene shortly before 6 p.m. He had stopped his vehicle in the center median of the highway near Reames Road and was struck by another vehicle as he stood near his own car. Two people from Edgewood have been charged with allegedly breaking into a hotel room Saturday morning and assaulting and robbing two people staying there, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said. Nathaniel Theodore Twaite, of the 1700 block of Fountain Rock Way, and Marina May Lynn Davis, 1988, of the 600 block of Harr Park Court, are charged with armed robbery, first-degree burglary, first and second-degree assault and theft less than $100 in connection with the assault of a 29-year-old man who had rented a room at the Days Inn Hotel, in the 2100 block of Emmorton Park Road in Edgewood, with his 17-year-old girlfriend.
