On January 9, 2004, HELEN S., 84, of East New Market, formerly of Baltimore passed away at the Mallard Bay Care Center. She is survived by a son, J. Daniel Fitez and his wife Barbara of East New Market; a grandson, Jason G. Fitez and his wife Katherine of Denver; a great-grandson, Grant Fitez of Denver; a brother, Henry Sullivan of Annapolis. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2004 at 2 P.M. at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with Rev. Adam Kegel officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

CHARLES A. ABT, 72, of Hurlock, formerly of Baltimore, died January 26, 2006. Survived by a son C. Dwayne Abt; two daughters Colein Hall and Kim Collins; five grandchildren; three sisters, Lula Folio, Dolores Abt, and Thelma Schisler. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at the Zeller Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, East New Market where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

SHERRY FRANCES GILYARD, age 53 died at her home in Baltimore, MD on Saturday, February 12, 2005. Born at Memorial Hospital in Easton, MD on September 11, 1951, she was the daughter of Davis and Charlotte Gilyard of Reading, PA. She spent her early years in East New Market and began her walk with the Lord as a member of what was then Mount Zion Methodist church. She began her education at Hurlock Elementary School until the fifth grade when she moved to Reading, PA. Graduating from Reading High School in 1969, she went on to earn a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education from Kutztown State University, Kutztown, PA in 1973.

On February 25, 2004, SHIRLEY MAY SULLIVAN, of Easton, formerly of Pasadena; mother of Joyce Shiflet; grandmother of Michael G. Shiflet. Also survived by two nephews, Mike Spittel and Steve Spittel and an aunt Irene Mitchell. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Walter Jackson, Crawford "Fats" Madera, and Jimmy Sullivan and a sister, Elaine Spittel.
