A man was fatally stabbed in East Baltimore on Thursday night, according to police. Police responded to the 3000 block of E. Preston Street about 9:10 p.m. to find a man with a stab wound to the chest, according to Det. Donny Moses, a police spokesman. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Moses said. Homicide detectives were still investigating late Thursday night. No further details were immediately available, Moses said. krector@baltsun.com twitter.com/rectorsun

The two-story, red-brick home is on North Collington Avenue between Ashland Avenue and East Madison Street. You can't miss the lime green front door at the top of the white marble steps. "We've got this process down," said Anne Riggle, City Life's president. The firm has rehabbed scores of homes throughout Baltimore since the early 1980s and has also built several new home communities.  This model home, blocks from Johns Hopkins Hospital, is intended to take their rehab business to the next level.

A Circuit Court Jury on Friday found a 34-year-old man guilty of first-degree murder for fatally shooting a man in East Baltimore in the summer of 2010, according to the city State's Attorney's Office. Antonio Moore, of the 400 block of North Robinson St., faces up to life plus 25 years in prison when he is sentenced June 20. Prosecutors said he got into an argument with Avon Beasley on June 12, 2010, in the 200 block of North Rose St. The suspect left but returned 20 minutes later on a bicycle, took out a .25 caliber handgun and shot Beasley in the chest.

Nearly 1,700 computers were stolen from a tractor-trailer in East Baltimore, according to a police spokesman. The tractor-trailer was stolen from Eagle Systems in the 500 block of North Dean Street on Oct. 13, said Detective Kevin Brown, a Baltimore Police spokesman. The tractor was found in the 7400 block of East Biddle St. in Rosedale the next day, he said. The trailer was recovered at the Maryland House service area off Interstate 95 in Harford County on Oct. 22. However, its cargo of 1,660 HP laptop computers was missing, Brown said.

Three men were shot in their legs in East Baltimore on Saturday afternoon in incident police said may have happened inside a Berea barbershop. A fourth man was injured in the incident in the 1400 block of N. Luzerne Avenue, but it was not immediately clear whether the wound was from a gunshot, police said. None are the injuries are life threatening. Police said the multiple shooting happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. and it appears to have begun inside a barbershop, which on Saturday afternoon had a closed sign in its window.

A man was fatally shot and a woman injured after a Christmas Eve shooting in an East Baltimore housing project.  The shooting occurred at about 11:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Webb Court, near the Institute of Notre Dame in Latrobe Courts. Police said the male victim was shot multiple times and taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died, and a woman walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound to her stomach.  At the scene, the male victim's clothing was scattered on an embankment in front of a residence.

A woman was shot Saturday morning near Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Gay Street neighborhood in East Baltimore, police said. The woman, who is in her 20s, was found about 9:30 a.m. in the 700 block of N. Broadway suffering from a gunshot wound in her back, spokesman Jeremy Silbert said. The woman told police that she was walking down the street when she was shot by an unknown person, he said. The victim's injury is not life-threatening. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment and was in stable condition Saturday night.

At least one man was shot Sunday afternoon in East Baltimore, and city police said they were trying to determine if there was a second victim, according to a statement. The shooting occurred about 4:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Loneys Lane, about a block north of Pulaski Highway, near Elwood Park. Few details were available, but police said the victim was struck in the arm and leg, and was rushed to a nearby hospital. His condition was not immediately available. Police said detectives were trying to determine if a second person was wounded.
