Baltimore City Police say a man was shot early Sunday morning in the 3100 block of Erdman Avenue. The incident occurred at about 4:15 a.m., according to police reports. According to the report, the victim, 36, was shot in the chest, then ran from the scene and transported himself to an area hospital. Police had no suspect description, and there was no motive immediately known, police said. Staff Reports

A 50-year-old Baltimore man was shot and killed early Sunday morning while leaving for work in what police suspect may have been a robbery attempt. Carlos Williams of the 1900 block of Boone Street was getting into his Comcast Cable van at about 6 a.m. when he was approached by at least three suspects. He was shot multiple times in the head and torso and pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Police spokesman Donny Moses said there were no suspects, and it was not immediately known if anything was taken from the victim.

An unidentified man found in Sandtown-Winchester late Saturday night was pronounced dead soon after from multiple stab wounds, according to police. Police found the man in the 1600 block of N. Fulton Ave. and transported him to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead early Sunday morning. A 77-year-old woman died in a fire in her Owings Mills home early Sunday morning, and Baltimore County firefighters attributed her death to a blaze started with discarded smoking materials. The fire occurred shortly after 8 a.m. in the first block of Straw Hat Road, just north of Owings Mill Boulevard. Marlene Miller was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire. Baltimore police are investigating a shooting that left a 31-year-old man wounded in East Baltimore early Sunday morning. Detective Jeremy Silbert said the man, who has not been identified, was founded suffering from two gunshot wounds to his upper body on North Linwood Avenue near Orleans Street just after 3 a.m. He was being treated at a hospital that police would not name. Baltimore Police are investigating a fatal Monday morning shooting in West Baltimore. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Mosher Street at 2:35 a.m., according to police. No further information about the victim were available, police said. The shooting follows a weekend in which a woman was found fatally shot early Sunday morning — also in West Baltimore, on the 2300 block of Braddish Ave. — and police reported two nonfatal shootings Friday night and Saturday morning in East and Southwest Baltimore.
