Tonight: a few premieres and the return of the Caped Crusader."Boatworks" (5: 30 p.m.-6 p.m., MPT, Channels 22 and 67) -- Robert Urich is host for this new 13-part series from MPT focusing on the myriad types of boats that ply the world's waterways. Tonight's kick-off looks at a classic mahogany runabout on Lake Tahoe, lifesaving boats along the Jersey coast and canoe-like vessels used to harvest wild rice in Minnesota. Boat lovers should enjoy the show, while others may find it all a little too hobby-oriented, although the segment on rice boats offers an interesting look at a vanishing culture.

Looks like Everett's history on "Relativity." Time to move on in the relationship."Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?" (2 p.m.-4 p.m., WBFF, Channel 45) -- Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn are liberal, upper-class whites taken aback when their daughter comes home with the black man (Sidney Poitier) she intends to marry. Earnest and well-meaning, if a little dated. Plus, Tracy and Hepburn are a joy to watch together."Second Noah" (8 p.m.-9 p.m., WMAR, Channel 2) -- Hannah (Ashley Gorrell), confused by her mom's pregnancy, decides she's pregnant, too. Just what this already crowded series needs, two more mouths to feed.

Two series that weren't renewed for the fall -- "Gun" on ABC and "Dark Skies" on NBC -- continue playing out their strings."Dark Skies" (8 p.m.-9 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- A young Colin Powell (Wolfgang Bodison) leads the gang to a Russian communications station. NBC."Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country" (9 p.m.-11 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- Kirk is sent to help make peace with the Klingons (why the old Klingon-hater himself? As Spock points out, only Nixon could go to China), but all heck breaks loose.

If you haven't given ABC's "Gun" a try, tonight may be the night."Interview With the Vampire" (9 p.m.-11 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- Brad Pitt plays a vampire with a conscience who unburdens himself to a writer played by Christian Slater. Tom Cruise is a vampire without a conscience, and Kirsten Dunst is one of his young victims. It's based on the novel by Anne Rice, who roundly criticized the selection of Cruise to play her beloved Lestat and then later came around (perhaps because his marquee name added millions to the take)

I foolishly ignored an ominous clicking sound on my home telephone line two months ago. Finally, on the afternoon of Jan. 15, the phone line went dead, and it remains that way. Some people might go crazy with no ringing, but I've enjoyed the winter silence. (We'll discuss my consumer experience with AT&T another time.) I prefer to blame the squirrels in the backyard. I envision them munching on the phone wire's insulation and making luxury apartments out of the alley utility poles.

It may seem a little warm for March, but there's still plenty of ice on the tube. Check out CBS tonight."Michael Flatley: Lord of the Dance" (7 p.m.-9 p.m., MPT, Channels 22 and 67) -- "River-dance" star Flatley performs in his own Irish dance-and-music spectacular. (Times are approximate; remember, it's pledge time.) PBS."Star Trek: Voyager" (7 p.m.-8 p.m., WNUV, Channel 54) -- Capt. Janeway and the gang finally make it back to Earth; only problem is, it's 20th-century Earth, where they have to prevent an egotistical jerk of a computer genius from tampering with the future and ending life as everyone's come to know it. If you saw this two-parter when it aired in November, you know whether the world survives.

Turn on the television these days and you're bound to be stalked by aliens or serial killers, or maybe both. Be careful out there."Dark Skies" (8 p.m.-9 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- So, have we reached alien overload yet? Will the little critters with the big eyes come and get me for saying so? In this episode, Loengard (Eric Close) and Kimberly (Megan Ward) check out cattle mutilations in the Midwest. Of course, alien tampering is evident. NBC."Father of the Bride" (8 p.m.-10 p.m., WMAR, Channel 2)

Does every season of "Dr. Quinn" end with poor Sully in grave peril? Or is it just my imagination?"Clear and Present Danger" (8 p.m.-11 p.m., WMAR, Channel 2) -- CIA agent Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) finds himself on the wrong side of some Colombian drug dealers. Good slam-bang action, with Ford's solid performance keeping everything and everyone grounded. ABC."Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" (8 p.m.-9 p.m., WJZ, Channel 13) -- In the conclusion of a two-part season-ender, everybody but Dr. Mike assumes Sully is dead when he disappears after a fight with that nasty Sgt. O'Connor (Patrick Kilpatrick)
