Drivers could experience delays around Coppin State University on Saturday as mourners gather for the funeral of former Baltimore police commissioner Bishop L. Robinson, Sr. At about 12:45 p.m. a funeral procession will depart the university for Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. The procession will travel north on the Jones Falls Expressway to the Baltimore Beltway. It will continue north on I-83 before exiting at Padonia Road and traveling east toward the cemetery, police said. Road closures are possible along the route.

Baltimore County police and fire personnel throughout the region are participating today in the funeral for Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Department member Gene Kirchner, who died Thursday of injuries he suffered in a fire last week in Reisterstown. The funeral was held beginning at 1 p.m., at Har Sinai Congregation, on Walnut Avenue in Owings Mills. County police say Walnut Avenue was closed between Greenspring Avenue and Park Heights Avenue beginning at 11:30 a.m., and will reopen when the procession has left Har Sinai.

Baltimore County police are warning drivers to expect traffic delays in parts of Baltimore and Baltimore County Monday afternoon as mourners turn out for the funeral of a volunteer firefighter, who died trying to save residents of a burning apartment complex. Police say delays could start around 12:15 p.m. as people leave services at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen at 5200 N. Charles St. in North Baltimore and proceed to Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium. Traffic could be affected until as late as 5 p.m., police said.
