A groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility for The Church of Christ in Woodlawn is scheduled at 2 p.m. tomorrow. The new church building will be at 6730 Dogwood Road. Church Design Concepts of Eagleville, Tenn., will oversee construction, which is to be completed in the fall. The Rev. Elmer V. Sembly III now conducts services at the Gala Center in Woodlawn.

On June 20, 2008, EVELYN M. THOMAS-GRAHAM; devoted grandmother of Michelle, Gregory, Jr., and Anthony Thomas. She is also survived by one great-grandson, two great-granddaughters, one sister, Clementine Thomas-Jones and a host of other relatives and friends. Esther Mae Williams Davis, December 9, 1941 to October 10, 2008, age 66, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, October 10, 2008 after a long illness. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing of the remains. The grave-side memorial service will be held at King Memorial Park, 8710 Dogwood Road, Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday October 18th from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M.
