On March 7, 2006, VIOLET ESTER DASHIELLS, of Richlands, N.C., formerly from Glen Burnie, MD; beloved wife of the late George Carl Dashiells, Sr; loving mother of George Carl Dashiells of Richlands, N.C. and grandmother of one grandchild and one great grandchild. She is preceded in death by parents Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ryckman. A Memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 18th, at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD. Arrangements made by Johnson Funeral Home, Richland, N.C.

Also survived by several grandchildren. Friends may call at the BARRANCO & SONS P.A. SEVERNA PARK FUNERAL HOME, Ritchie Hwy. at Robinson Road on Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. A Mass of Chrisitian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 A.M. at St. John's Church, Severna Park.

Services for Irvin N. Dashiells, a musician and retired jewelry salesman, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Leroy M. and Russell C. Witzke Funeral Home, 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville.Mr. Dashiells, who was 78, died of cancer Monday at his home on Hartmont Road in the Catonsville area.He retired in 1974 after many years of selling jewelry, which he would take to customers' homes.He taught music, played saxophone and led bands after being certified as a saxophone teacher by the Kaspar School of Music while still in his teens.

In the Salisbury-Stevenson rivalry that has bordered on something akin to the dislike waged by the Hatfields and McCoys, there usually isn't room for ambiguity. You're usually rooting for one team or the other. That's what makes Wednesday night's showdown between the former Capital Athletic Conference rivals difficult for Chris and Brady Dashiell. Chris Dashiell is a junior midfielder-converted-to-attackman who starts for the No. 3 Mustangs (9-1). Brady Dashiell is a freshman attackman-converted-to-midfielder who plays significant minutes for the No. 6 Sea Gulls (10-2)

Howard William Dashiells, a retired Maryland State Police lieutenant colonel and an expert in forged documents, died Tuesday of complications from Alzheimer's disease and a stroke at the Sunrise Assisted Living community in Severna Park. He was 80. Mr. Dashiells was born in Baltimore and raised in the Forest Park neighborhood. After graduating from Forest Park High School in 1940, he joined the Army Air Corps and was trained as an air gunner. During World War II, he served in northern France - in Normandy and Ardennes, during the Battle of the Bulge - and in central Europe.

Boys' Latin junior midfielder Brady Dashiell has orally committed to play lacrosse at Furman, which will enter Division I competition in 2014. Dashiell was an All-Star at FLG in 3D and also played at MVP at Rider and National 175 in Connecticut. He considered High Point and Boston University as well. Senior oral commitment Midfielder Wyatt Wood of Cathedral High in Indianapolis has committed to Maryland. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Wood plays for the Long Island Sting. A two-year captain, he has won Indiana Catholic Conference Player of the Year honors as well as being named a Brine All-American and Champion All-American.

Senior attacker Ashley Bruns (Mount Hebron), senior attacker Kitty Cullen (McDonogh) and senior midfielder Brittany Dashiell (John Carroll) combined for 10 points to lead the No. 3 Florida women's lacrosse team to a 17-7 win over visiting Albany on Sunday. Bruns scored four goals, Cullen three and Dashiell two for the Gators (6-0), who got five goals and a career-high and Florida single-game high eight draw controls.
