Justice League of America is exactly the kind of movie Warner Bros. loves to make. Based on the classic DC Comics series, the script is filled with a dream team of recognizable superheroes - Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash - and could not only become its own franchise, but also could spin off individual character sequels, TV shows and merchandise. (Green Lantern Underoos, anyone?) But even a league of superheroes might not have enough special powers to repel the latest villain on Hollywood's horizon: an impending labor dispute.

Trevor Pryce said he feels good, and he proved it yesterday at Ravens training camp. The defensive end looked trim and didn't seem to be carrying extra weight on his 6-foot-5, 286-pound frame. After practicing with mostly rookies in the morning at McDaniel College in Westminster, Pryce ran sprints on an empty football field, finishing the last one by backpedaling the entire way. "My wind is a lot better," said the four-time Pro Bowler, who trained during the offseason with a 30-pound weight jacket and adopted a basketball-style regimen.

Movie openings ... they're not just for Fridays anymore. With new movies tripping over each other every week as they struggle to maximize buzz and bring in more box-office bucks than the competition, studios are looking to exploit every possible edge. Increasingly, that involves pushing at the boundaries of the traditional Friday opening - either by debuting the film just after midnight Friday (as The Dark Knight did last month) or, as is happening today with Columbia's Pineapple Express and Warner Bros.

The Parkville boy's parents had deemed him too young for "Tron" when it played in theaters in 1982. But he loved it when he saw it several years later on a neighbor's VHS tape. Soon, he wanted to join the new frontier of electronic bulletin boards. To post, he had to pick a moniker. "A lot of people chose aliases like Dark Knight or Thunder Hawk," he said recently. "I logged on for a week as Tron. " By the end of the week he realized there were seven or eight people in Baltimore alone using Tron.
