Color is your friend, ladies. Take it from Kim Danner, a former fan of the all-black uniform. She was hanging out in Fells Point while visiting her boyfriends' family, and probably would have passed by unnoticed in her one-time favorite outfit: black pants, black top, black shoes. But in her splashy green jacket, tops in pink as well as cream-and-black, blue jeans and brown boots, Danner - a newfound lover of happier hues - stood out like a beam of sunshine. Age: 33 Residence: Denver Job: Saleswoman at Decade, a Denver boutique Self-described style: "Casual, comfortable, but definitely on the funkier side."

Lawrence E. Brubaker, a retired railroad employee who grew wheat in the yard of his log home, died of melanoma Wednesday at his granddaughter's home in Reisterstown. He was 92. Born in Braymer, Mo., he moved to Maryland as boy. His family drove the whole way in an Overland car with their pet collie riding on the running board, said his daughter, Joyce M. Danner of Finksburg. The family farmed on the Eastern Shore for a few years before moving to Reisterstown in 1929. Mr. Brubaker left school after the sixth grade to help his parents with the farm, his daughter said.

Also survived by precious friends, Silvana and Danny Alsamadi, Nadia, Sofia and Olivia Alsamadi, Maria Pia and Umberto Cannella, Domenico and Caterina Cannella, Marie and Skip Danner and their families; dearest aunt to Deborah Prymas and the Prymas/La Sasso/Gaidis families; beloved aunt and friend to a host of relatives and friends.

On Saturday, January 10, 2004, LEE NORTON DANNER, of WV, formerly of Rockville, MD. Father of Sharon Weston-Dawkes (Jon); Philip C. Danner (Deedra) and Sarah L. Evans (Peter). Grandfather of Crystal, Glenn, Daniel, Carah and Victoria. Predeceased in death by his brother Hugh. Koren War Army veteran. Received degrees from the USC - Berkley and the Univ. of MD. He retired from IBM, was a professor at ETSU, College of WV and Bluefield State College. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2004 at 3 P.M. at Saint John's Episcopal Church, 9120 Frederick Rd., Ellicott City, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
