On January 23, 2006, GRACE VIOLA CHILCOTE (nee Lupo) beloved wife of the late John T. Chilcote Sr., loving mother of John T. Chilcote Jr., and his wife Sharon, James B. Chilcote, Robin A. Dailey and her husband Steve, cherished grandmother of Todd J. Chilcote, Chantelle N. Chilcote, Steven W. Horsey Jr., and Katelyn M. Dailey, dear sister of James V. Lupo and Marietta Hemphill and the late Helen J. Squiller and also survived by Debby Ellinger. Funeral service will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk Inc., 7922 Wise Avenue, Wednesday 1 P.M. Interment Baltimore Cemetery.

On January 8, 2006, BETTY SPRAGUE, beloved wife of the late Edmund Coe and George Sprague, loving mother of Betty Dailey and Edmund Coe, Jr. Also survived by four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M., at the funeral home. Interment Loudon Park Cemetery.

It was a picturesque scene -- a chilly, rainy fall Saturday in one of the city's most attractive neighborhoods, Bolton Hill. Shiny wet leaves in shades of orange, red and brown dripped to the sidewalk outside the handsome brick buildings. Students from Maryland Institute College of Art walked from the nearby campus. It seemed as though everyone was heading to the same place: On the Hill, a tiny coffee and sandwich shop that opened in May at John and Mosher streets. People shook out their umbrellas as they entered the cozy space and joined a line at the counter that swelled and shrank but never disappeared.

On August 22, 2005, JAMES W. BEARD Sr., beloved husband of Sharon L. Beard (nee Bitzelberger) devoted father of Renee A. Dailey, Angela L., Bernadette F., and James W. Beard Jr., dear grandfather of David, Brandi and Corey Allan, Daniel, Tiffaney and Megan Dailey. Also survived by three brothers and seven sisters. Visitation Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P. M at the Cvach/Rosedale Funeral Home, 1211 Chesaco Avenue. Cremation private.

On July 1, 2005, VERONICA, of Hanover, MD; wife of Herman Dailey. Survived by one daughter, two sons, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sisters, one brother, one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the Estep Brothers Funeral Home, P.A., 1300 Eutaw Place, Friday from 1 to 8 P.M. At 9 A.M. Saturday, Mrs. Dailey will rest at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 1440 Dorsey Road, Hanover, MD. Family will receive friends from 11 to 12 noon.

On Saturday, June 18, 2005, EDITH ALVERTA DAILEY (nee Sheeler), beloved wife of the late William Loring Dailey; dear mother of Edith K. Price, Wilma L. Herndon, Linda C. Roche, and the late Dora M. Goebei; devoted sister of the late Mary Fooks and Charles Sheeler; loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by one nephew. Private graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Cockeysville.
