On March 9, 2005, DORIS Y. CRUMP, born and educated in Baltimore, MD, she received a bachelor's degree in elementry education from State Teachers College at Towson in 1954. Doris left her husband Donald of 50 years after an extended illness. After 35 years of teaching, she retired from Orchard Hill School in North Canton, where she taught Kindergarten. Every child she taught was very special to her and over the years, she received hundreds of notes from parents thanking her for the progress their children made in that first crucial year of their education.

Burger hired as tech manager Linda L. Burger has been hired as technology manager by the Howard County Economic Development Authority, a newly created position supporting the technology community in Howard County. She will work in the Center for Business and Technology Development, which also houses the Business Resource Center and the county's NeoTech Incubator. Burger is to form a Technology Council of Howard County, providing support for a number of smaller technology groups in the county, said Richard W. Story, CEO of the economic development authority.
