Friday's editions included a Q&A with Johns Hopkins sophomore attackman Wells Stanwick. Due to space constraints, here are some more answers from the Baltimore native and Boys' Latin graduate that did not make the cut. How does it feel to be the quarterback of the offense from behind the net? It's definitely something that I've always wanted to do. It's just kind of the position that I play. You always want to control the game from there, and I'm trying to get better at it. I'm probably not exactly there yet, and I'm working on it and trying to be more of a leader on the offensive end as the year goes on and into next year.

The ballyhooed matchup between two of the top leading candidates for this year's Tewaaraton Award wasn't going to materialize with Cornell senior attackman Rob Pannell expected to miss up to six weeks with a broken bone in his left foot. That — and an ailing left hip — didn't make much difference to Virginia senior attackman Steele Stanwick , who lifted the No. 1 Cavaliers to a 9-8 overtime win against the No. 3 Big Red at the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday.

PITTSBURGH -- No one expected this Eastern Conference quarterfinal series between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins to be easy. But who expected this?Last night, the Capitals fought the Pittsburgh Penguins as well as the game officials and lost, 2-1, in Game 2 of this best-of-seven series."All we've asked from the beginning is a level playing field," said Washington coach Jim Schoenfeld. "If the rules are different for some players than others, let us know before the game."What you saw tonight was a team that was willing to pay the price and not given a fair chance.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Princeton's offense is often accused of operating at a snail's pace, but Johns Hopkins couldn't keep up with the Tigers yesterday. By the time Hopkins found a way to solve Princeton's attack, the Tigers had a five-goal lead early in the second quarter, and then held on for an 11-9 win against the Blue Jays in the NCAA Division I lacrosse semifinals at Rutgers Stadium. After the game, Hopkins coach Dave Pietramala blamed some of the Blue Jays' defensive lapses on inexperience, some of which was true.

WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- The comeback went for naught, but Washington Capitals coach Terry Murray was not in the mood for complaining last night. The Capitals allowed the Winnipeg Jets to slip to a 3-0 lead early in the third period before a rousing comeback to tie the game. But 33 seconds after Kelly Miller had tied the score at three with a short-handed goal, the Jets struck for the winner on the same power play. The 4-3 victory extended their NHL-best unbeaten streak to 8-0-2."There isn't any team in the league where you can let yourself off the hook mentally," Murray said after his team fell to 20-9-0, still tied for first overall with the Montreal Canadiens.

The two best players were on the opposite ends of the field Tuesday night, and they both played for Towson. Tigers junior attackman Thomas DeNapoli finished with seven goals and three assists, and senior goalie Andrew Wascavage made 15 saves as Towson defeated UMBC, 12-9, before an announced 545 at UMBC Stadium. DeNapoli, from East Rockaway, N.Y, was unstoppable and at times looked like NBA star LeBron James. He called for the ball. He waved his teammates out of the way. When he was double-teamed, he dished off and handed out assists.

Q: I never have a problem putting myself together for work. The suit, shirt, and tie formulas I have down pat, and I would say I'm considered well-dressed by my colleagues. But when it comes to the weekend, there are too many options. What do I need to do differently for casual clothes?A: Color is your big option. Use it. Revel in it. It is fun. It is flattering. And it costs nothing. You can make a totally different impact wearing a luxurious pure white sweater or bright yellow jacket instead of the old safe standby, a navy top, over a pair of khaki pants.
