The Harford County Sheriff's Office arrested three people Friday and charged two of them in connection with the murder of a man found shot to death in a car in Edgewood Thursday morning. Both men charged in the murder had been previously identified by police as being active in a gang, as was the third man arrested with them who faces unrelated charges. Sheriff's deputies had responded to a call of shots fired in the wee hours of Thursday morning, but couldn't find anything, in part, according to police, because of the tinted windows in the car where the victim was found.

The Bel Air High School production of "Almost, Maine," almost debuted in Harford County absent a scene many students considered critical to the drama about love in a small town. When county school officials demanded that the scene involving homosexual romance be deleted from the show, students cried censorship and discrimination and contacted the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland. After a strongly worded letter from the civil rights organization, officials reversed their decision with apologies.

A day after sitting out Thursday's practice, free safety Ed Reed returned to Friday's session, but he didn't exactly dispel the notion that he might miss Sunday's home contest against the Arizona Cardinals. The seven-time Pro Bowl selection was not wearing his helmet nor was he carrying one. He took part in light drills but did not appear to be making any contact with teammates. Reed suffered a stinger in Monday night's 12-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but did not show any aftereffects during Wednesday's practice - in which he fully participated.

Asked about safety Ed Reed's condition today, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said, "he'll be OK," which would seemingly indicate that the seven-time Pro Bowl selection will play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Reed, who has been dealing with a stinger, sat out yesterday's practice. He was out there for today's walk-through practice, but he was not wearing his helmet nor was he carrying one. Safety Tom Zbikowski, who hasn't played since sustaining a concussion Oct. 2, has been cleared for contact and participated in practice today.

Officials with the Sykesville Police Department hit the streets on two Segways at the town's annual fall festival early this month, and rolled them out again this past week at Century High School's homecoming parade. Donated to the station by the Montgomery County Police Department, the Segways have already proven an important tool in helping police patrol the town and stay connected to residents, according to Sykesville Police Chief John Williams Jr. "They come in quite handy," Williams said.

The Ravens confirmed what Tom Zbikowski suggested Saturday by listing the starting strong safety as doubtful for Monday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Coach John Harbaugh said Zbikowski - who has been dogged by symptoms stemming from the concussion he sustained in the Ravens' 17-point win against the New York Jets on Oct. 2 - still has not been cleared for contact. Zbikowski practiced on a limited basis for the second time this week, but he was kept out of all contact drills.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said that safety Tom Zbikowski has not been cleared for contact yet. Zbikowski suffered a concussion Oct. 2 against the New York Jets. Because of the concussion symptoms, Zbikowski has been wearing sunglasses while he is out at practice. With him sidelined, Bernard Pollard has been starting at strong safety. Wide receiver Lee Evans (ankle) also did not participate in the morning walk-through practice. He hasn't played since Week Two against the Tennessee Titans.

A Severn man, who police say pretended to be a teenager online and solicited boys in their early teens for sex, was charged with multiple sex offenses Wednesday, according to a statement by Baltimore County police. Brandon Henry Sukeforth, 22, was arrested last week after a woman discovered her 14-year-old son had been a party to suspicious messages and phone calls that prompted her to contact police, the statement said. The messages and calls made the mother suspect her son was having sex with an adult man, police said.
