It's entirely possibly that I'm fudging the online trends this morning to give more weight to news of a monkey in fancy coat wandering around an Ikea. It is just that depressing today and who knows if evenĀ  Ikea monkey can counteract this clinical case of Mondays. First up, The Redskins even without RGIII embarrassed the Ravens and mopped the floor with them in overtime. I'm telling you people the Ravens really need to think about just pulling a quarterback off the street.

Chris Tillman, who in the past year has transformed from promising arm to All-Star, shut down a dangerous Oakland Athletics lineup through eight innings Saturday afternoon for one of the Orioles' most dominating starting performances of the season. But, locked in a pitcher's duel, the Orioles ended up wasting one of the 25-year-old's best starts at one of the most inopportune times. Coco Crisp's solo homer to lead off the top of the ninth against reliever Darren O'Day broke a tie and sent the Orioles to a numbing 2-1 loss before an announced 33,834 at Camden Yards.

Television tinkering can be a wondrous process. Last year, CBS' "Royal Family," created by Eddie Murphy, was one of a very few new series showing ratings strength. Then, in October, Redd Foxx, who was playing the lead role of Al Royal, died suddenly. Sincere mourning was heavily tinged with panic.Jackee, formerly of the series "227," was grabbed to play Ruth, also known as Coco, who is the half-sister of Victoria, Al's widow, still portrayed by Della Reese.More time was needed, though, to work out necessary adjustments, and the show went off the air temporarily.

Some time back, we broke the news that Demi Moore was hard at work trying to produce, direct and star in a feature film about Coco Chanel's life. But Demi, who looks as if she could still interpret Chanel's early years, has finally given up on this dream. Financing is difficult under any circumstances, but there are now three - count 'em three - biopics in the works on Coco. One will star Audrey Tautou. Then there's William Friedkin's version of Chanel, to star Marina Hands. And writer/director Daniele Thompson also has definite plans to bring the fashion genius to life onscreen.
