If Raw 1,000 will be the benchmark of the three-hour era of WWE Raw, I look forward to the next 1,000 episodes. After all the hype and importance placed on the 1,000th episode of Raw, the show delivered and then some. Between excellent legend returns, well-hyped matches and comedy segments, Raw was entertaining and easy to watch. A scene you wouldn't expect ended the show: CM Punk standing tall over a fallen John Cena and The Rock, the two men who headlined WrestleMania 28. This was especially special given it is a rare moment of weakness for The Rock, who has looked invincible since his WWE return in 2011.

JOHN CENA VS. THE ROCK The hardcore wrestling fan may not be looking forward to this match. Some of them think the "Once in a Lifetime" tagline at Wrestlemania 28 was a farce, while others believe the build-up has been nowhere near the interest from last year (in fairness, how could it be with a year to build?). The match itself won't be stellar, but The Rock has just enough mystique and allure left to make the fans invested. John Cena wins the WWE championship and The Rock moves on to Brock Lesnar for Wrestlemania 30. What I would LOVE to see after the match is Cena and Rock sharing a "Wrestlemania handshake," Rock walking away and Dolph Ziggler attacking Cena by surprise (no theme music)

There's obviously something about spandex pants and over-the-top theatrics that appeals to Chris Jericho. Jericho is best known as one of the top heels in World Wrestling Entertainment, but when he isn't belting one of his fellow professional wrestlers with a steel chair, he's likely to be belting out an '80s heavy metal tune as the lead singer of his band, Fozzy. Fozzy, which plays Jaxx Nightclub in West Springfield, Va., Wednesday, covers songs by groups such as Motley Crue, Twisted Sister and Judas Priest in addition to performing original material.

This year I've had the opporrtunity to enjoy all the action from Los Angeles in the days leading up to Summerslam 2012. Here are the tidbits I have collected from several WWE Superstars: Stephanie McMahon gives an interesting answer on whether or not she will return to WWE TV. Wade Barrett says he is 99 percent healed from injury and details the character changes we can expect when he returns to WWE TV. Antonio Cesaro...

On paper, Sunday night's WrestleMania looked as if it could be one of the strongest installments in the event's 28-year history. In execution, it was anything but. I personally avoided Twitter and Facebook, so that the thoughts I would be sharing here would be as purely mine as much as possible. The show lacked the feel of WrestleMania; the first hour felt rushed and most of the matches seemed to be missing something. The show wasn't bad by any means, so I don't want people to misread what I am saying, but I expected more.

On Raw this week, somehow, some way, Paul Heyman was back in a WWE ring. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, especially from WWE superstars, legends and employees on Twitter. Chris Jericho , CM Punk , Shawn Michaels , Lance Storm , Matt Hardy and Joey Styles all tweeted what most of us long-time hardcore wrestling fans were thinking. This is the first time Heyman has been seen in WWE since 2006, when ECW was revived as a brand under the WWE umbrella.

Finally. No, this has nothing to do with The Rock. But it's still just as relevant to say. Finally. FINALLY. The news of WWE's latest Hall of Fame inductee broke Monday afternoon. When I read the name, I got goosebumps. A smile on my face. It was one of those moments as a pro wrestling fan where you can't believe what you are reading. As if hell just froze over. While watching Raw, everything seemed to take a backseat, for this night only. CM Punk and Chris Jericho had a terrific match.

WrestleMania has grown to be more than just a pay-per-view. For years, the event has been the biggest of the year for not only WWE, but the world of professional wrestling. No event could come close to matching the magnitude of this spectacle. But, as the years have gone on, WrestleMania has become more than one show. It's become a week-long celebration of all things professional wrestling. Throughout this week, WWE superstars and officials have participated in a number of events, many of them supporting charity.

After the Royal Rumble concluded I received a direct message on Twitter from a good friend who used to work in the wrestling industry. To me, he summed up the 2013 Royal Rumble best with this quote: "A fun show that is 100% predictable is still a fun show. " As soon as John Cena eliminated Ryback to win the Royal Rumble match, it seemed as though the main event of WrestleMania ("Twice in a Lifetime") was already set, even though the WWE title had yet to be defended. Hardcore fans and "armchair bookers" everywhere were collectively clanking on their keyboards, lamenting this “predictable” outcome and complaining about the lack of surprise.

Fans inside Madison Square Garden witnessed something many thought would never come. There he was, the last to be inducted. With years of bitter feelings brushed aside, the crown jewel of the WWE Hall of Fame was introduced by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Living legend, the man who held the WWWF title for over 4,000 days, Bruno Sammartino. He delivered his speech in his trademark even-keel and steady speech, passionate about his words and the stories he told. The speech felt very much like an abridged documentary about his life -- or perhaps an upcoming WWE DVD documentary.
